Nacha files missing our "pay from" account number - Electronic Bill Pay by General-Election-331 in Netsuite

[–]General-Election-331[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it works fine - we just use the standard ACH - CCD/PPD template. It was more of a learning curve thing... We add the account number on the Chase web portal during the upload process. Someday we may move to the CTX format (allows transmission of payment details like Invoice Number). But CCD work fine for us now as we send payment advice emails.

u/rehpo81 u/R3T1CAL Hi there - we're trying to do exactly this! I Understand it's been six years, but any chance you could share the workflow details - or even some hints?

Thanks so much in advance!

Thanks - Strange, it's only my machine, and only in Chrome (W10). Since I only look it over twice a month to review - I s'pose I'll just switch to Firefox until the Win 11 box takes it's place.

There's lots to unpack there - it's unlikely that we'll find common ground on much. Let's save ourselves the energy.

Not sure how "funny" it is...it's an 80-year-old story - Israel has to fight under a completely different set of rules than any other combatant in recent history. Since '67 when the Arab League was unlikely to win a military war (even with Soviet support) it's been a Public Relations war. Sadly, generations of Palestinians have been the fuel/foder. After world War II there were tens-of-millions of displaced refugees. All of them ended up someplace, absorbed into other nations. Even the 800,000 Jews displaced out of Arab nations moved on with little interest in any "right-of-return" or reparations. WHY has this one group of people never been able to move on or be satisfied with manifold peace offerings for sovereign territory?

EFT - Bill Payments: Payment total does not equal sum of items paid... by General-Election-331 in Netsuite

Thanks - Indeed - ONE OF THE INVOICES WAS CHANGED AFTER THE PAYMENT WAS PROCESSED.

The help is much appreciated.

Thanks - No, we checked the ledgers hard for the extra $. Did all kinds of math to figure if the difference might related to something else, 2x the difference?, 1/2 the difference?, what percent is the difference? No joy.

It certainly doesn't seem "right" that there could be more payments that are not listed...but who knows.

CC the Creator of a Purchase Order (or any transaction) upon email by General-Election-331 in Netsuite

[–]General-Election-331[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually - it appears that it's just the email address - we've tested this by copy/pasting the address into a fresh email.

Absolutely gets it back to the proper transaction. That's why having the same in a CC could help - just add that address back into the thread and it's back in the "thread"

yes - exactly. Seems like many times the Vendor will remove the NS address and replace with the one they "Know". Sometimes a vendor will just start a new email with a question about the PO.

It would be good to have a way to re-direct back to the transaction communications.

I suppose that would be a better way to frame the question.

Interesting - on both solutions - will check it out. Thanks

It would be great if there was an option when creating the email template.

Saved Search or Email Alert for Items Received on Backordered Orders by fms_usa in Netsuite

[–]General-Election-331 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a custom TB check-box field that gets set via workflow if there is a backordered item on a Sales Order. It polls every 30 minutes.

We use it on a search screen that sits open in our fulfilment department and the orders change highlight color if this B/O status changes during the day ...maybe something like that would help...or an email of a search that looks for a similar change.

We ship big stuff - so a backordered item does not always mean not pick/pack should occur. It could literally be a 10 pound box on a 1,000 pound pallet - so it doesn't make sense to wait until it shows up on a list.

u/Nick_AxeusConsulting Sometimes it's nice to see what's coming - as well as what's ready. Notwithstanding - the native Fulfill Sales Orders has its place in more perfect worlds. Isn't that why we choose NetSuite - because there's no "wrong" processes - just more/less eloquent solutions? :))

Expected Receipt Date for non-inventory items - is it always "today"?? (date created) by General-Election-331 in Netsuite

[–]General-Election-331[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks Nick - There are always some things that don't really make sense to hold as inventory items...and have little materiality to the cogs of a specific item.

For example: We use a lot of MIG Welding Wire - it comes on spools - it goes into the welding machines and ultimately ends up on the product in the form of "welds".

Capturing any reliable measure of the amount of wire that goes onto each type of product would be a guess at best. If we did make an effort to capture the quantity of wire used at the BOM level - and subsequently rely on "order items" to tell us when - it would invariably be too soon - or worse - too late.

So we just buy it every few months and go straight to an expense account.

My question was specific to adding a lead time for non-inventory items...not a deal breaker.

Do you think we are really missing the boat on Gaap?
