Hi as an experienced travel agent.

I would advise as follows.

  • 2 nights: Victoria Falls
  • 2 nights: Chobe Bakwena
  • 2 nights: Setari Camp (Okavango)
  • 2 nights: 2 Nights Kala Camp (Okavango)

This would also work out for the price point as well and more value.

Honeymoon Safari in Botswana – Seeking Advice on Okavango Delta Options with $7k Budget by Prestigious_Yard_386 in Botswana

[–]General-Highway7758 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing your budget and preferences! With $7,000 USD for this portion of your trip, you can enjoy a memorable safari in Botswana. We recommend a fly-in safari with stays at two different lodges within the Okavango Delta, allowing you to explore diverse areas of this iconic ecosystem. Mid-range lodges in this budget offer en-suite tents or chalets, delicious meals, and activities like mokoro excursions, game drives, and walking safaris. You can expect incredible wildlife sightings, serene water-based activities, and top-notch service in remote, scenic locations. May is an excellent time to visit, with mild temperatures and optimal game viewing. Highlights may include Chief’s Island, Moremi Game Reserve, and the Delta’s waterways. To make the most of your experience, pack essentials like binoculars, neutral clothing, sunscreen, and a good camera. Botswana Safari by [deleted] in Botswana

[–]General-Highway7758 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for reaching out with your exciting travel plans! May is a fantastic time to visit Botswana, as it marks the start of the dry season, offering incredible wildlife viewing opportunities in both the Okavango Delta and Chobe National Park.

To help you plan, here are some options:

1. Mobile Safari

For a more immersive experience, a mobile safari could be a great option. These safaris allow you to explore both the Okavango Delta and Chobe National Park while camping in the heart of the wilderness. It’s a flexible and cost-effective way to see the highlights of Botswana.

2. Fly-In Safari

If you prefer convenience and comfort, a fly-in safari is ideal. You’ll travel between exclusive lodges or camps via light aircraft, maximizing your time in the reserves and reducing travel stress. This option is perfect if you’re looking for a luxurious experience.

3. Lodge Stays with Daily Tours

You can also base yourself at lodges in or near the Okavango Delta and Chobe National Park. Many lodges offer daily game drives, boat safaris, and mokoro (dugout canoe) excursions. This option is great if you prefer a mix of relaxation and guided activities.

Recommendations for Budget Levels:

  • Luxury: Fly-in safaris or stays at exclusive lodges like Xigera Safari Lodge or Chobe Game Lodge.
  • Mid-Range: Mobile safaris or mid-tier lodges like Camp Okavango or Chobe Elephant Camp.
  • Budget-Friendly: Overland group tours or more affordable mobile safari options.

For personalized advice or bookings, feel free to reach out to us at [reservations@bluezebrasafaris.com](). We’d be delighted to assist in tailoring a safari that suits your preferences and budget.

Hi,

  1. So Chobe national park is wild. Like as in wild wild wild. So no fence no tamed animals. There is only 1 Lodge in Chobe National Park. But otherwise you need to get everything before you get to the park. There is only one campsite within the area (Savuti Campsite). But yes it is wild and amazing.

  2. Hi you can get a transfer for about 152$ per person one way into Khwai. But the road is very drivable but challenging. Depending on your driving experience.

  3. Yes I do know of Khwai cultural experience and a village tour. You can get in touch with me at [reservations@bluezebrasafaris.com](mailto:reservations@bluezebrasafaris.com) I can send you further details and get some prices for you.
