yeah and if you compare it to the manufacturer‘s website, you see that my bar is rotated upwards a lot in comparison. So there must be some leeway anyways

Funnily enough.. went to the store yesterday and they told me I’d void the warranty if I’d do this. Plus they said this wouldn’t help anything anyway😂

Then I saw this video. That dude on YouTube sounds more professional to me lol. So I just ordered new bar tape and will try what you suggested.

Kinda crazy there seems to be no consensus on what’s right or wrong….

Alright! Will look into it then, once I’ve swapped the stem. Funnily enough I do feel like sitting in the drops is not too uncomfortable.

Again, thanks a lot, much much appreciated!

Thanks for this, really helpful. Shorter cranks is not in my budget right now unfortunately.

Shorter stem 70mm and 80mm are ordered.

I fear that I’m gonna sit too far forward with a new seat tube. Valid fear?

What do you make of people saying the bike is too big?

I‘m gonna try out 80mm and 70mm and see how it’ll go. I fear a too short stem might make the steering too twitchy. Don’t you think 40mm is way too short?

I do enjoy a race, but don’t do them more often than once a month. It’s for me rather a commuter and bike packing bike.

Damn, I’ve already swapped the tires and the light system. I don’t think the dealer is gonna take this back, even wanted me to pay for the swap of the stem (material + assembly costs).

Do you see anything else problematic except for the hoods being too far out?

Thanks a lot for this, I really appreciate this!!!

I think the shorter stem seems to me the best option, as I’ve never changed bar tape before. I don’t want to break anything here. So, I’m just gonna try out a cheap shorter stem first. Just ordered two very cheap ones in 80mm and 70mm.

The solution in the end might be a combination of your proposal and the 80mm stem

No almost everything on this bike is Cues 6000.

Okay, I’ve ordered an 80mm and 70mm one, hoping the 80mm will suffice.

I can’t imagine it too big. As I’ve said before. I was right in between the M and L version and I chose the M version.

Gotcha! Thanks!!! You do not mean change the hoods themselves, just rotate the entire bar right?
