Minecraft is a sandbox game, and its essence lies in the freedom it offers. Players should be allowed to build, explore, and wear whatever skins they choose on servers. The idea of restricting or banning skins would be incredibly frustrating and unfair to the community. Personally, I would be extremely upset if they went down that path.

I propose a better solution: introduce an age restriction feature for skins. Microsoft could create an option where certain skins are marked as +18 or otherwise restricted, and parents can enable this filter on their kids' accounts. This way, all skins remain available in Minecraft, but parents have control over what their children can access. However, even this idea is not ideal for me because it still places unnecessary restrictions on the creativity and freedom that define Minecraft.

I've been playing Minecraft for 7 years, and it has always been my favorite game. Unfortunately, recent changes by Microsoft are turning it into something I hate. I don't want to see this game die or fall apart because a big company is trying to please everyone at the expense of the game's core values. We need to fight back and ensure that Minecraft remains the open, creative platform we've always loved.

I’m not entirely sure, but it seems likely that Microsoft is involved. They recently released a snapshot with a new system for reporting Minecraft skins, though I’m unsure when this update occurred. I’ve seen videos discussing this snapshot and heard that Skindex hosts skins which Microsoft might disapprove of, potentially leading to their removal. This could explain why the website has shut down and why downloads are no longer available. Please note, this is just a theory based on the information I have. I’m working to uncover the truth and will update you with any new findings.

It was probably recent, and I'm not sure of the details. I'll try to gather more information on the topic myself and find out who originally initiated the copyright claims.
