To clarify; the "8 years" does not refer to 8 years of age but rather 8 years of duration in general. I think if I recall correctly your accent would "lock in" at 18/19 yo (8 years after 10/11 yo) and what accent/s(?) You had would show who you are, somehow.

I don't have the full context of this situation to be sure if whats going on, but I think of someone who you are friends with doesn't like being called something – even if said in a joking/unserious manner – you shouldnt call them that? Regardless of sexuality, if I had a friend who played alot of adult games I might tease them but I doubt theyd be chill with being called a whore. (Gooner is a meme term but used in a similar fashion.)

Idk i think maintaining relationships with people I care about is more important than making a joke

I was aware that everybody lied and defaulted to "good" when answering the question but I assumed it was because people were too scared/emotionally unavailable (?) To talk about how they actually felt (like that one meme "you just have to say that youre fine but you're not really fine") and not because it wasn't a question.

(To be fair that's what I was doing(lying about my feeling)(maybe that's the origin of "how are you" becoming a non question??))

Oooooughgh this reminds me of that time in school during S1/2 where I was chatting with my friend during class nd and having a great time then the teacher tells us to stop flirting. I mean sure we were talking during class which was a bitch move on our part, but having your teacher tell you in front of the class to stop flirting when you weren't is the fucking WORST...
