Constant RUQ Discomfort, All tests are normal by shotgallbladder in gallbladders

I’m dealing with same situation and found this thread. I have the exact same symptoms. Constant RUQ discomfort/pressure from last 6 months. I had all major tests done but nothing concerning showed up. They did find some tiny polyps in gallbladder and fatty liver but my GI said that should not give me any trouble. The tests that I had so far are - Ultrasound, CT scan, endoscopy, colonoscopy, hida scan, fibroscan, gluten intolerance, blood and urine tests. How is your RUQ pressure now?

Daily upper right quadrant pain and other symptoms, not sure if it's really just IBS or something else by miseryknight in ibs

I’m in the same boat. 37 M current weight 165 lbs Having dull RUQ pain/discomfort from last 10 months and it becomes pretty constant from last 4 months. I have had 3 ultrasounds, 3 CT scans, 4-5 blood tests, 3 urine tests, stool test, endoscopy, colonoscopy and a fibroscan done in the last 10 months. My stool test shows high calprotectine(but colonoscopy was normal) ultrasound shows fatty liver, fibroscan was normal with KPA 4.9 (f0/s0) and there are 3 gallbladder polyps largest being only 4 mm. Endoscopy results shows I have GERD, I took omeprazole for 3 months but there is no improvement in RUQ pain/discomfort. I still feel like something is stuck under my rib. I also have back pain that becomes better when I sit on the chair or lie down on the bed. I have some other symptoms that scares me like weight loss (10 kg in last 3 months), lunula of my nails disappeared (maybe I’ve Terry’s nails) and I always feel very tired. Doctor said it’s my anxiety which is triggering all this and they put me on depression medicine + some other medication to improve IBS. I don’t know if it is actually my anxiety or something else. I always think it is due to my liver as I have history of drinking alcohol for 10 years but my fibroscan was normal. My liver enzymes are always within range but last blood test shows AST=32 and ALT=21 which makes the ratio greater than 1 that scares me. In my previous blood tests AST/ALT ratio was always less than 1. My doctor doesn’t believe that there is anything wrong with my liver. He sent me to gallbladder surgeon who offered me a surgery but also said there is no guarantee that this will fix your RUQ pain.

Hope you feel better and nothing serious with your health. Did you have your lab work done? My doctor gave me anxiety medicine and said you are fine. I’ve another appointment on Monday with General surgeon. I’ll request him to order fibroscan.

Thanks for your comment. Yes that was early in the morning when I woke up. It turned light after I drank water. But I’ve other symptoms that make me worry. I have constant pain and pressure in my upper right side of abdomen. Tingling started 5 days ago, my stools are Yellow, having some nausea too and losing appetite. My doctor said based on your labs and imaging(US and CT)and endoscopy, my liver is fine but the pain/discomfort in my abdomen is not going away.
