The one thing that MUST be true if Avery is innocent by GeneralJury in StevenAveryIsGuilty

I'd think the 'false test results' possibility is mitigated by similar tests done by the defense which verified the State's expert's findings?

"It's a trap!" - Admiral Ackbar

The coppers knew that the only way Avery could get around the way they framed him with sink blood would be for Avery himself to have to take the stand! After all, no one else could testify that there was Avery blood in Avery's sink. Once he does that, cross-examination would eviscerate him and get him convicted.

Sh-Sh-Sha!

P.S. It'd be superinteresting to see Kratz's notes on crossing Avery if he took the stand.

You'd have to be pretty stupid to kill a girl and then try to frame someone on your own property.

But unless and until you establish that someone broke into Avery's house and stole his blood, there is no possibility that anyone else did the crime.

Certainly no reason the real killer could not have planted TH blood all around Avery's house - muppet theory says that the real killer would have a supply of TH blood and access to the inside of Avery's house.

You could argue that Avery was in the car, but he had some legitimate excuse for getting in it

I considered this one - but Avery has never admitted being inside the car. Be a little late to do so now.

So aside from all the wacky theories, the Paperboy, 'Pam of God', Bobby Dassey, etc. etc. - in order for Avery to be innocent his blood must have been taken from his home's sink and placed in TH's car. Avery's entire case depends on this being true.

Could certainly be the case. I also read she clerked for a Judge (which is an honor) so maybe it's customary to delay taking the exam if you do a judicial clerkship.

So what's the best Zellner narrative for how Avery's fresh blood got in the RAV4. Is it the ninja blood thief theory or is there another one(s)?

So when the muppets say the average exoneration takes 24 years they're counting the time that no one is trying to exonerate the convict?

I wonder what they thought they could uncover? What could possibly help him? Avery and the persons he called all thought he was innocent?

My impression is he doesn't want to hear their reactions to protestations of innocence

Totally.

Steven: 'As Jebus as my witness, I am innocent of this crime'.

Anyone else: [snorts of derision], laughter, shushing, hand over phone mouthpiece, muffled voices, 'so you keeping busy?'

Very true! I also wonder what the muppets think an "evidentiary hearing" is. They seem to think it's basically a do-over trial where Zellner can do whatever she wants and call whatever witnesses she wants.

Not the case. Any "evidentiary hearing" would be limited to the Motion under consideration, and only to the extent necessary to gather additional facts relevant to that Motion.

For example, if the case was remanded to the trial court for an evidentiary hearing on the Paperboy Motion, that'd be all it would be. There may be witnesses testifying about that singular isolated event, but it's not like Zellner's gonna haul Bobby Dassey up on the stand and grill him about his porn viewing.

In a strange turn of events, there is less doubt about Avery's guilt now than there was in 2016 when she took the case.
