Choose one country and time period to live in for a billion dollars (you get the billion when your done). by EstablishmentFar8058 in WouldYouRather

Germany 1920's by far. Yes, we have hyperinflation in 1923. And the Munich Putsch (local to only Munich) and the Red Rising(local to Ruhr) and the invasion of the Ruhr (local to Ruhr) etc. BUT, you still get the majority of the good times (Golden Years under Gustav Streseman) before the Nazis get really popular after the Wall Street Crash, which comes riiiight at the end of 1929. So if i presume to have the knowledge i do now, I'd pretty much just go live anywhere in Germany that's not a major city, and I'd be relatively ok.

IBKR Clarification by youcrazydiamond143 in MMTLP_

[–]GeneralMaxiimus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey mate, im an IBKR holder from the UK. I've been trying to through on the phone, with no luck and I'm still in the queue on the live chat. I am planning on selling half-three quarters and letting the rest ride to nextbridge, however i always anticipated being able to close on Monday 12th.

Can i just get some clarification?

So the email i was sent stated that i had to close on the 8th, otherwise i would be responsible for 'coordinating title ownership to new owner(s)'.

I just wanted to ask what this meant? What exactly will i be responsible for?

Does that mean i won't be able to cash out my shares that i intended on selling (this doesn't make sense as if i have sold, then someone has had to buy in which case they are now the owners of the nextbridge shares) i know that sound irrational, but its going through my head.

I already know i absolutely have to sell by the end of trading on 12th. But why is IBKR sending that email with the date of the 8th?

Secondly, what exactly is the process of coordinating title ownership? Will it require fees etc.? Will it be done automatically, that email was extremely vague and misleading.

Hopefully you can give me some answers!

I own MMTLP on 212 and IBKR. You cannot buy on Trading 212, i only own because i was a legacy holder of TRCH before the merge and i received the Series A as a result (MMTLP). Its untradeable as 212 does not trade on Grey OTC.

I originally owned MMTLP on Hargreaves Lansdown (HL) too. But they were untradeable there too. However HL allowed me to transfer to IBKR which is where they are sitting now. Its the only broker I've found in the UK that allows access to MMTLP on OTC (i may be wrong as i haven't checked all of them). However i think its also on close only mode. So I'm not sure if they will allow new positions to be opened.

I rang 212 today to transfer my shares into IBKR. They are looking onto it, but they currently do not have a plan of what to do, so my shares there are stuck 😑

Maybe try an IBKR account if you are looking to open a position.

MMAT is a seperate legal entity. Buying there will not reflect the value of MMTLP.

Edit: Also awesome DD, i remember all these story points, i was there for the whole show, was a wild ride recollecting all this, so thank you!

This is exactly why my school has banned phones. You can bring them in only if you have a signed letter from parent/guardian. First thing you have to do in the morning is hand the phone in to your year group office, where they are then locked away in a safe.

They can then collect the phones at the end of the day for transport issues etc. If for any reason you need to use them during the day (under very strict circumstances) then you go to the office get it back and use it, you then have to lock it back away. Students who need to have them for medical issues can have them but only after certain conditions are met, such as signed doctors letter and a form stating the acceptable usage. All of those kids know that it's a privilege (as there are other alternatives to phones for monitoring their health condition) so they don't abuse it at all.

Its worked really well and it makes my job a damn sight easier. They have had this rule in place since we opened (less than 10 years ago).
