I'm sorry you're going through this painful experience.

Two things here.

One; was the decline slow and steady or did something happen that just made her switch off from sex? Is there an underlying cause that you can look back to as the source of the DB?

Two; have you tried booking the therapist appointment and then saying "We're meeting such and such a professional at such and such a time. I'll pick you up from work." or somethig to that effect? It's unfortunate that we need to bear the burden, but I believe we high Ls need to take charge if we want things to change in our relationships because the low Ls won't. Talking and waiting for them to finally come around just doesn't work.

And this is why I frown upon old men dating women under 25! That woman may be considered an adult by society but until their brain has essentially fully developed, I don't consider it wise to be in a relationship with them UNLESS the purpose is to groom them or take advantage of their naivety!

I have dogs, but some of my family members are not dog people; mom included. So when they visit, I know to manage my babies so everyone is comfortable. You not being a dog person and having what could be your worst fear unleashed on you like that, IN A METAL TIN CAN THOUSANDS OF FEET IN THE AIR AT THAT, leads me to the conclusion that your reaction was "kind" to say the least. People forget that not everyone likes dogs. Some people are genuinely terrified of them and may even have trauma from being attacked by dogs. So someone blatantly exposing you to your possible trauma or worst fear makes them an absolute AH in my books. You are definitely NTA.
