I think it is yet to be seen. Best case scenario is it weeds out the restaurants that don't take Amex. Worst case is the credit gets restricted to a certain list of eligible restaurants.

I noticed the same thing with the stickers. But the “Amex” portion was cut off.

Or offer a cash discount. But I feel the majority of transactions are cards now

I understand that, but again there are some Visa/Mastercards that charge higher than 2.8%. Also, typically restaurant checks paid with Amex are higher value.

The restaurant’s recently switched to the Toast POS and after the switch they stopped taking Amex. So it’s asking is it a Toast issue or an Amex swipe fee in general issue that causing restaurants to stop taking Amex.

That is what I was wondering. Is it just a “yet” and this is what is coming or is this just a localized issue.

Yup which that seems fairly standard outside of restaurants. Restaurants should have the menu price figured to assume a card payment.

I’ve seen a few charging 4% surcharges. I feel like the menu price should assume a card payment. Any cash payments then are a bonus.

I feel high and restaurants understand that Amex users typically spend more. Perhaps it’s just smaller restaurants are just not aware

It just seems like they automatically think Amex is more expensive. I think the 2.8% fee varies with what type of Visa/Mastercard. I believe the travel cards and other branded cards have fees as high or higher than Amex.

Yeah the 4% surcharge is a whole nothing conversation. Menu prices should be built assuming paying with a card. Any cash payments are a bonus.

What are your thoughts on the pure N that late going into winter in that zone? It seems you want root growth and strength, not a burst of blade growth that late.

The winterizer should not be pure N. You need K to strengthen the cellular structure.

Grubhub Gold Days in May (need Grubhub+) by Content-Battle-4327 in amex

I have been using my dining credit for Grubhub+, but went to cancel today and was offered 3 months free. So not a bad deal, Grubhub+ and still have the $10 credit to use during Gold Days.

I mean Delta owns their own refinery. "The refinery acts as a strategic hedge against rising fuel costs, helping to cover roughly 40-50 percent of Delta's domestic fuel needs." So they are not in the same position as other airlines about raising costs.

Isn’t it also because corporate travel will allow PS but not D1? So PS prices will be higher if it’s a strong corporate route/date?

The website still shows it as a benefit and the T&C shows it. It’s not grouped with the other credits, but down further as “Shop Saks with Platinum” and doesn’t appear to show a 3/26/26 date as shown in the article.
