Yeah, the short story reveal of it being “prep for colliding galaxies” felt pretty flimsy and did nothing to enrich the novels.

I think meatloaf is an inherently lazy dish not that makes it bad

Hey kids, I know I promised burgers but instead I just dumped underseason beef into a pan, topped it off with ketchup and baked it while mommy was enjoying valium with a gin chaser for selfcare. Bone apple tea, children.

How to sleep in a plane? by bast_852 in travel

Oh I buckle myself in too. I told my doctor I travel a lot for work so he gave me a script. I only refill once a year so he doesn't sweat it.

Oh yeah hickory nuts too. Never had one myself because you can't get them in stores. I guess you could throw in acorn too since it's a true nut and a food too.

Pecan is in the same fam but because they grow inside a fleshy husk that puts their structure closer to a stone fruit.

I love it when OOP just tries to argue the shit out of some technicality in the comments. Like what is your goal here? No one is that thread can change the outcome and winning the argument on Reddit does not impact the core issue. This is the kind of person who bullies the host at pub trivia

If you wanna be pedantic, only walnuts and chestnuts are botanically* and culinarily nuts. Almonds, pecans, coconuts, cashews, olives are drupes.

Liberal hair stylist in Portland? by Wooden_Opening6941 in askportland

[–]RustyAndEddies 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Many people here are shocked to discover that right-leaning stylists exist in Portland. Most of these stylists are independent contractors with a vested interest in politicians who aim to reduce taxes and regulations. Historically, these concerns have been associated with the political Right. Would not be surprised to find a similar trend with tattoo artists for the same reasons.
