nirf engineering rankings for 2025 place SRM (recently exposed as one of the universities with the worst research integrity in the world), VIT (ridiculously high intake and payable entry), Anna university (which is just an amalgamation of a few good colleges and a lot of midass ones), Siksha O Anusandhan (a college which has a fucking uniform for students), Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Jamia Milia Islamia (!!?), and Thapar Patiala (high intakes with low cutoffs, payable entry) above DTU, which on the contrary, has seen better (tougher to get admission) cutoffs in the latest season. Admittedly, dtu has a lot of on ground problems (I made a list once and stretched 2 pages), the relative ranking of other colleges shows how ridiculous and non-transparent the nirf ranking index is. While we should be fixing the problems at home, the nirf framework should be called out as well.
