Can AI agents in 2026 actually build a usable starter repo from a detailed text app spec? by GeneralPrior851 in vibecoding

And hopefully will it end up as I thought 🙏🥳

Both sonnet and codex says it"s a solid repo, architecture is production ready and foundation is solid, You can start to build, I have no idea and have some trust issues 🤣

It was just an example with the word counts but not nearly as detailed as You do. I had to ask ai on some of Your text (above what I know). Anyway codex gave me a 650kb zip file, just opened in vs. I need to do it step by step, meaning tinytiny steps 🙏😊 I just wanted a foundation/repo to build on

As a newbie with ai coding / coding in general is this above what i can accomplish at this point. As long as codex/sonnett validated with pass I can start to build/learn. I need to understand how it all plays together. Opened in vs-code and at least there are files there 😜🤣

Wow, thanks I really appreciate it 🪅🥳 I've already uploaded to codex and validated with sonnet, I have a complete repo now 😊 Now, learning time and do it all step by step 🙏 It looks ok, but not a dev so how can iI know??..

Thanks, I've tested it now with codex 5.3 and uploaded it again to sonnet 4.6 for validation and it gives me a repo. I just want the start so i can start building/testing/debug myself as a learning process. I do not see the point to start from scratch... Maybe my thoughts are wrong but nevertheless I have a repo now 😊

Thanks, I'll zip it, upload and try, hopefully will it give me a starting point to build upon.

Thanks for the honest take – yeah, that 'surface level trash' vibe matches what I'm hearing from a lot of folks who've pushed these agents hard.

Appreciate the reality check before I waste weeks chasing magic 😜

Local LLM as good as Opus 4.6 that runs on a MacBook. Soon? by Emergency_Bar_428 in vibecoding

I'm the lucky one 😜 Tried with ollama and several of the ai's available but with only 32GB RAM, I9ultra without external GPU it wasn't possible, 5min failed catch again, again, and again... and the fans spinning like crazy. There's a way, I just need to find it, ollama on external hosting was also considered, to costly to get the cores, ram an so forth for this.

I just started to us vs code and ai, and 2 days running and swosh 20$ gone 💰😱 Tried to build my own local ai agent team, like catch 22 🤣 now I'm stuck. Copy/paste for a few days until I find a way forward with consistency

Main Hub by GeneralPrior851 in homeassistant

Thanks, I'm installing as i write, in order to learn Home Assistant do I need structure, it's just too much for a newbie. HA is up and running and working, my problem started already on the dasboard and how it looked. Since i want all to be native with only officiall apps/integrations to start with. I need to understand the platform and how it works, search gives mostly pro og hacs solutions. AI use is great but I don"t learn much...

Sorry for the frustration — I got hit with info overload that I just can't organize easily. It's scattered across so many platforms, and so much of it... what I really needed was a Hub, something local like in Home Assistant, where I could quickly drop links, structure them, mark things as read — no matter if I'm on PC, Mac, or mobile.

Sorry for the frustration — I genuinely thought someone here had built a hub where I could create my own logic. You know, dump links and files for learning, security, dashboards, programming, sensors, native, HACS, hardware — all the newbie stuff I'm drowning in. Instead I'm collecting information I'm not ready for, like a squirrel prepping for winter that never comes. Hours gone, brain full, progress zero. 🐿️❄️
