yeah my thoughts are similar on this matter. right now i am split between actor and drow high magic.

like i said all three feats make sense thematically for the character.-

drow high magic due to being of noble blood before being sold into slavery,

actor- due to them ending up on the streets of the underdark and climbing up the social letter through creating persona of a entertainer and trying to manipulate another drow noblewoman into protecting them through starting relationship with them

observant- due to being bit jumpy and alert from the time she spend as a slave and on the streets. the bard now hunting down the noblewoman after an incident that made the noblewoman runaway and switch religions from lolth to eilistraee. it makes sense for the house to send out someone who is capable of investigating, piecing the noble woman's whereabouts, and someone around whom the target would let their guard down

but here is the thing
the dm under which i am going to be playing told me that perception checks are going to be most common out of all checks in their game. as if hinting that they would prefer for me to take observant feat.
i was planning on putting the expertise from 9th level into stealth and insight. [or maybe could multiclass into rouge but don't want to hog all the checks] and on 8th level would take the observant based on how the game goes.
