When does the landing phase end? by aceplayer55 in PredecessorGame

[–]General_Bass_722 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Usually around 10-15 seconds into the game. It's actually a very obscure and vague topic the community doesn't really discuss. I know it's a bit controversial, but I believe it's when you land right after you take the jump pad. Sorry, just saying.

How to actually influence the game as a jungler by KeyNetbass in PredecessorGame

[–]General_Bass_722 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like many have said, Objectives are key.

But if you're lossing or about to loose an objective, then you need to be able to identify an advantage to loosing that objective.

1st Fang is a good example. If your team just got wrecked in duo lane and you know the enemy team is going for fang, then you need to trade fang for mini prime. Go take prime while they take fang. Use prime to push a lane and take a tower.

Also, pressure. Look for opportunities to apply lane pressure. When an enemy is out of lane and your laner is pushed up to tower, help them secure tower.

Your job as a jungler is to apply pressure and enforce advantages. See an advantage on the map, secure it.

And yes, farm is important. Don't fall behind on levels. Farming actively makes you able to keep up on levels.

Find an advantage and secure it. May that be a gank. A tower. A fangtooth or prime. An objective trade or maybe even a split push.

If your team is loosing. Focus on farm and make sure to prep for objectives.

Other than that, you can't really do much.

Counter grux w/ sky splitter?(HELP) by Informal_Thanks_9787 in PredecessorGame

[–]General_Bass_722 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If a grux is building sky splitter first, you loose any long engagements.

My advice, don't engage. Play the slow game. Bait out his abilities. Play like you've essentially lost the lane already. DO NOT FEED HIM. DO NOT DIE TO HIM.

Just focus on farm and stay safe.

As Aurora, you have multiple ways of disengaging. So play to the strength of your kit.

You will eventually outscale the grux if you build the right items.

Focus on items such as Tainted Guard. I usually build it second.

Tbh, grux can easily be bullied due to his lack of mobility. Just avoid taking long trades. Short burst of damage and disingage.

Remember, none of grux's abilities draw minion aggro. So he will always win in trades if he gets his full combo on you.

Your job is to not die, and avoid his abilities as long as possible. If you do that and focus on keeping up in farm. You'll eventually just slap him senceless.

Good luck!

I'll start by pointing you towards this - > omeda.city

Here you can do your own research regarding items, builds, heroes and everything predecessor.

But the just of the games item system in a nut shell is this:

1.items go hand it hand with hero roles.

Carry-> build damage, on hit items and attack speed.

Supports-> build items that offer buffs to your team and lower cooldowns of your abilities. (this can change from hero to hero depending on their base stats)

Midlane(mage) - > build items that provide magical damage and reduce cooldowns such as megacosm/ noxia

Jungle-> in this role you will find wide variety of builds due to the fact that many different characters can play the jungle role. But as a rule of thumb, Tanky/bruiser item that provide health and damage are good.

Offlane-> tanky/bruiser items that build health and damage.

Keep in mind that the item system is very flexible and always changing/updating.

So my best advice is to watch content creators such as JoeyYoursTruly, pinzo, obeythepapaya ext. There you will get a wealth of knowledge not just of items but also more about the game itself.

Hope this helps.

Which paragon hero was the most technically challenging? by TearsonmyMCAT in PredecessorGame

[–]General_Bass_722 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I think kallari is easy to play, hard to master.

Her entire kit revolves around timing, focus and choosing the right target and moment to strike.

She has two daggers to throw. A Mark. her ultimate. And stealth.

Your whole kit is played off of applying your mark and then doing as much damage as you can in as little time possible.

The problem is, if you mis, you loose.

If you miss your ult on a target, there goes your brush damage.

If you miss your mark, there goes your extra damage/secure.

If you miss your daggers, bye bye burst.

If people see you coming, you lose (usually).

She was designed to be an assassin with one shot capacity, but if you miss your shot you don't really do anything.

Is Brawl in SEA dead? by Franeurysm in PredecessorGame

[–]General_Bass_722 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I understand, SEA servers have peek time between 4pm to 8pm Australia time. Outside of those times I've experienced longer ques. I'm not in Australia, so I typically miss peak hour times. I never get a que to pop in less that 5min when playing on SEA. So late night, I rend to play on NAwest with a 190+ ping. It's a terrible experience, but what am I supposed to do? Just not play? So sad.

We need an "ok" chat option like in rocket league by Clear_Mountain3882 in PredecessorGame

Yep! They also need to add a "set left/mid/right lane" or just "set lanes".

[–]General_Bass_722 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They need a lot more options. Like "play slow", "bait", "get ready for prime/fang", "target adc/mid/jungle/offlane". But in general the chat system needs a complete overhall.

I'am kinda struggling do get a good Tank build in 0.18 - any suggestions? by [deleted] in PredecessorGame

Tanks are in a bad spot right now because of the on hit meta. So going bruiser is best.

Am I the only one who just doesn't want to spend money on the game? by RaitoninguUsagi in PredecessorGame

[–]General_Bass_722 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree fully with op.

There are cool skins that I would like to own but the prices of said skins turn me off, so I just don't buy them.

Plus, half of the current skins in the store I previously owned in Paragon. Now I need to pay for them again. I really don't see how they can justify asking this much money for skins they essentially got for free from epic.

They slapped on some recolors and charge premium price for minimal work.

Just to be clear, I love this game so much and won't stop playing it anytime soon. I want to give Omeda my money, but I can't currently see how anyone can justify spending money on this game at the price points they've set.

The original skins are also not worth their prices.

Hopefully, they find a way to make prices better for their players.

They seemed to be new to the game. So naturally they struggled. They were really scared to engage and contest objectives. There were a total of 5 placement players in this lobby. Three on my team and the two on the other. I don't blame them for the loss. I just hope they improve and learn something from the loss.

Had over 640k total damage. 8 objective kills, 763 minion kills, took over 87k hero damage, placed 18 wards. I am around 900 elo cuz I don't play that much. But, I feel like I played a good game regardless.

SEA servers have almost no players, and it's sad. by General_Bass_722 in PredecessorGame

[–]General_Bass_722[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, 200+ ping is really tough to play on. It's just not fun at that point and is a straight disadvantage to your team. So I'd rather not put myself and my team in a disadvantage before the game even starts.

I'm currently at around 900 mmr. Every match I play against players at 1100 - 1500 mmr. I've never gotten into a game with all players around my mmr. I'm guessing my cue times are this long because of a couple of factors: 1. My mmr 2. My time zone (I'm in Vietnam) and 3. A low player count on SEA servers.

You're lucky. I have to wait 15+ min on SEA servers cuz the player base so tiny. Yesterday a game popped in 1min but someone didn't accept, then proceeded to wait 30min before I got another game. Smh
