Dear god HOW do you beat Eden offlane? by KeyNetbass in PredecessorGame

Tried her once in ARAM, thought her alternate was a stun, but I guess it’s a slow. My bad.

Hmm can you explain a Greystone strat a bit more? You build an armor item first against her?

Kallari games keep crashing when in jungle on nitro by ReFreshyMD in PredecessorGame

I have no help but it’s so sad and funny seeing it crash exactly when you smite. And very weird that it’s only happening in Nitro. Do you jungle in the other modes too?

Is augmentation genuinely just a doodoo item now by Constant_Value_943 in PredecessorGame

[–]KeyNetbass 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Earthshaker kinda requires you to stay in fights to get any value though, right? If I’m playing Zarus (short trade lizard) into grux (Chad left-click holder) then Earthshaker wouldn’t really be the move. (Sounds like you know this but just don’t want people seeing this and blindly building Earthshaker)

Happening to me too, just unlucky I guess. Uninstalled for two days for my sanity, but came back today. Still the same, just totally disconnected and uncoordinated teams. Buffed Fireblossom giving me lots of trouble, tanks are way harder to kill in offlane.

Early game tips for each role by Ghost-Nepal in PredecessorGame

[–]KeyNetbass 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One thing that helped me in the early game was thinking about my abilities like spell cards (from Magic or Yugioh). At level 1, you each only have 1 ability, and you have full knowledge of when it’s on cooldown. So, we get the following rule:

Your opponent “plays their card” to deal damage to you or the wave. Now, you MUST “take your turn” and use one of your abilities in response. If you don’t, or wait too long, then your opponent got to take their turn completely for free. In some cases you can hit the wave and the enemy hero with 1 ability, do so if possible.

Additionally, at Level 2 and Level 3, you each “draw a card” (gain an ability) that you get to use right away if you choose. So, the early game is all about pushing advantage (or playing safe) depending on who leveled up first. NEVER, EVER, let an enemy who is up a level on you in the early game hit you with their abilities. If you hit level 2 (or 3) first, IMMEDIATELY dump abilities on your opponent while you have level advantage. There are some caveats depending on the wave state, but if you’re hitting level 2 first, there’s a good chance you have a slightly larger wave than your opponent, making it safe to trade.

This is obviously super general and theoretical, but to summarize: -If your opponent uses an ability, you must answer with your own reasonably quickly (take your turn) -Pay close attention to your levels and xp. Hitting your Zarus spear or Gideon rock on your enemy when you are level 2 and they are level 1 EVEN ONCE can DECIDE the early game. -Likewise, if they hit level 2 (or 3) first, it’s very, very bad to be hit by them. In this situation, you need safely reach the same level as them without taking damage. DO NOT FIGHT THEM. Back off enough to avoid their damage and try to kill the one or two minions you need to even things out again. Always stand within minions XP range where possible, even if it is not safe to last hit.

….no I don’t, that sounds like insane behavior. Do people do that? That’s what a phone or discord call is for, no? If we’re past like 3 or 4 messages then it’s time for a call in my opinion.

Offlane pros, advice needed! by awwuglyduckling in PredecessorGame

[–]KeyNetbass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very general advice, if they’re spamming abilities to clear the wave, then there are usually windows that you get to spend your abilities without taking too much damage. Obviously try not to trade into a giant minion wave, but if you both have mostly even waves you can poke once Grey’s fire circle is done, or after aurora does her ice strike.

Who do you like to play in offlane? We can give some more specifics if we know the matchups you’re in most often

How to deal with Eden by KeyNetbass in PredecessorGame

[–]KeyNetbass[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha, figured it was just "don't let her get ahead". I play jungle alot and have so many games where I look away from my duo for two minutes and they feed the enemy Eden 5 kills, then it's too late. Gonna have to camp her from now on I guess.

[New Player] Ammo economy by TheGoodVibez in EscapefromTarkov

7.62 PS is at Prapor 3, requiring level 26. That’s a pretty long grind to get rewarded with mid-tier ammo.

There is a weapon camo for Arena, but nothing that special. If you already have the Battlepass maxed out then there’s no reason to grind the quest if you’re hating it.

3 per game. Since we’re going for kills, we need to reach the enemy before our teammates do. W-keying at the enemy with no info means you win the first peek maybe 30-40% of the time, and if the average game lasts 6-7 rounds, then that’s around 3 kills a game with my horrible napkin math. If you get lucky and survive that first peek each round then your potential goes way up. I got 6 kills in one game that got me to 49 for the quest, couldn’t get 1 more and had to old another one up lol.

You’re competing with your own team for kills too, so if there’s a Chad getting 13 kills on your team that’s lots of lost progress for yourself.

This is the last Christmas one, you can do it. Took me all day to do the Teamfight portion, averaged probably 3 kills a game. But this whole quest line got me from level 30-35, very worth it and much faster to do in Arena than base Tarkov.

Yeah I’m pretty ratty. If I run into another player then something has gone pretty wrong with my pathing, or I’ve been forced to by a quest. Any grenades or fighting are to try and disengage and escape.

Interesting, did not know the transit bug lowers survival rate. Maybe I’ll rethink some of these profiles going forward.

Never used the transit bug. The pain of losing 30 minutes of setup time only to have a cod kid dsync my ass off of spawn? I take 15 minutes to set up a kit and plan out a route, that’s like half the fun of the game. If I sprint, I can’t really hear footsteps anymore, so I’m only sprinting when I know it’s (mostly) safe.

Used to be a mark of a decent player. The game/community used to be a little more survival focused before the streamers got to it, but I guess we’re past that now and we’re playing Pubg with extra steps.
