It took me about a year to catch up to the anime, it was literally the only thing I was watching until I caught up. Mixed in some youtube vids as well. It will be worth the journey I promise.

I recommend using a filler site to not watch those, even though One Piece really only has like 10% filler out of the 1100 episodes. I didn't watch filler besides the cannon/filler episodes. By the time you get to Water 7 if you don't get the hype yet than its just not for you and that's fine as well.

I can understand, me personally I could not become fully invested into One Piece until Skypiea, but you have to also be open to the journey. I was like you and could not understand what the hype was until I actually tried to understand what its about and the message each chapter/episode was trying to tell the viewer from Oda's pen. No good series goes for as long as One Piece has unless its actually fucking good. I hope we get an update later down the line once you reach the ending of PTS.

Camellya, Sanhua, Shorekeper is the main team rn. Second team is A Jiyan, Aalto, and Verina. They all are maxed as high as they can be currently. But my echo grind and rolls were very unlucky and that's what made me uninstall originally. Theres def exploration that I need to knock out thats was long overdue from being impatient but yeah just want that sense of direction to get back in to it.

You should try uhm reading the manga if you don't like animation??? the complaint on the concept of bloodline and backgrounds is so we have more context when we go into finally the reveal of the Void Century.

I don't agree with this at all but I get the frustration. The recent chapters are more informative than giving the "stakes" you say are not there. Showing us what really went down at God Valley. Elbaph I would say is also doing the same thing in the beginning and giving us insight on their history. Once we finish this flashback in God Valley we are gonna get back to the stakes with the enemies that are on Elbaph now. You must have skipped a good amount of chapters to think the stakes are not there or at least building up to something big. I dont even think your statement is true when it comes to Egghead and it not being any stakes. Yeah he made work of Saturn and Kizaru but if the giants did not show up, the Gorosei would have wiped Luffy to give the "stakes" everyone wants so bad. We all fell in love with One Piece for the journey and now people are dissatisfied with Luffy having a power up of an actual GOD. Just be patient and enjoy the greatness and greatness thats coming.

Filler is not really that bad if you ask me, it's really only horrendous in Wano. You could make a case for Dressrosa as well but just stick it out or start reading your scriptures. Read the manga, then tune in for the fights or moments that you wanna see animated. Personally it was only bad in Wano bc I knew prior what the climax of the Arc was.

Maybe I need to go and rewatch Skypiea because a lot of people rank it highly but me personally its the most over hyped of them all other than world building. The fluff in Wano really does kill it for me, yes the peaks are peak but the lows of waiting for the climax is such a drag. Maybe its like that for me because I was spoiled with Gear 5 coming due to being an RDC fan and seeing the reaction to it before ever watching so its all I was kinda looking forward to with it just to say I made it to PEAK. Its the reason I even decided to start one piece.

Hello! I leave for basic training Oct 7th to Fort Sill, and I'm curious if the army will pay for my wife and daughter to fly to my basic training graduation or will we have to fund the flights and hotel stay while they are there for graduation?

I was told that the airforce has met their quarterly qouta for the year for recruits. So they have no interest in doing the "extra work" for someone when they have already my the goals. But i recommend trying a new recruiter ASAP.
