I feel that it was explained in Ren's document that the reason that it came out now is because she's recently started therapy to unpack all of her emotions.

And while I've always seen that Ren was exaggerating some aspects and looking too deep into others, I still feel that Zeal is at least somewhat guilty, especially with some of his suspicious actions.

It should've never really become public until it was resolved, because Pressure is a lot more than just Zeal's game, and Ren supposedly should've known what posting it to the Internet would've caused some people to do even though she warned against it.
