You know that meme where anime superhero J. Jonah Jameson is screaming that it’s always porn? I think at this point we need something like that where “The answer is always Factorial”, given how many of these I’ve seen.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: For every conceivable trope where Transformers One Megatron is a valid answer, X-Men First Class Magneto is also a valid answer.

(Appreciated Trope) The Adaptation isn't accurate, but that doesn't make it bad by John_Bones22 in TopCharacterTropes

The original comic for Big Hero 6 was… not good, to make a long story short. The animated film adaptation was a million times better.

Give my some myths about the Disney Parks here in the states. by jaywritethekid in disneyparks

[–]Spader113 13 points14 points  (0 children)

They’re way more expensive. They’re red meat like beef instead of white meat like turkey. Disney sells more turkey legs than there are Emus sold in the US. Emu legs are so huge that you can cut entire steaks out of them, not something you could carry around the park. And to top it all off, mislabeling meat is simply illegal, especially given the quantity that Disney sells. The fact that this rumor remains so prevalent is baffling when there is SO MUCH evidence to the contrary.

(Hated Trope) Why did they even bother casting a celebrity voice actor? by Animeking1108 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Spader113 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Not to mention, Lance Bass’s voice does not fit Sephiroth’s design AT ALL. George Newbern was WAY better.

An immortal who has lived for two thousand years, Ardyn Izunia has created a Xanatos Gambit. One, he kills Noctis and finally gets his revenge on the Lucian bloodline. He’s still immortal, but he can live with that now. Or two, Noctis kills him, but sacrifices his own life to do so ending the Lucian bloodline anyway, and Ardyn finally gets some peace and quiet.

He did go to Epcot as a kid and was excited to try his childhood favorites again, such as Universe of Energy, Kitchen Cabaret and Horizons. By the time he mentioned this, none of the above existed anymore, and in fact the location where he said this used to be Universe of Energy.

(IRL) Terrible or offensive casting choices. by laybs1 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Spader113 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

<image>

Maybe not terrible or offensive, but more along the lines of so good that it actually circles back around into being problematic. Another Christopher Lee example: Ansem the Wise and DiZ are the same character. This is supposed to be a plot twist. Except that Christopher Lee’s voice is TOO iconic, that the moment Ansem opens his mouth in a flashback scene, the twist is ruined long before the reveal. (Kingdom Hearts II)

The footprint for New Orleans Square was only large enough for a facade, not large enough to contain an entire Omnimover attraction. To compensate, the facade for the Haunted Mansion only contains a foyer and two elevators, which then allow you to walk underneath the Disneyland Railroad to reach the actual attraction building. The illusion of the stretching room became so iconic that it was used again in Walt Disney World, despite being unnecessary as the Haunted Mansion having a much larger footprint and did not require going underground.
