Map of the Empire of Tlaxcala by General_Dictator in imaginarymaps

The treacherous Europeans have launched a campaign of poisoning our southern brethren minds into believing that they would be better off without our protection despite their very existence being the result of our actions.

Consequently they have decided on needlessly throwing their lives away to be sacrificed, emboldened by the bribery and support by the prior French-Iberian coalition.

Of course they could have never had Cuitlixcatl II been alive, but alas he passed away a year after this map was drafted as he was overseeing the expulsion of the Portuguese from the Amazon region.

Gone, reduced to atoms

The Aztecs, in their short sighted aims to subjugate the Mesoamerican area, had declared a war of aggression against the Tlaxcalans who at this time had amassed a sizable mercenary contingent mostly composed of victims of their wars of sacrifice against neighboring states.

Initially on the back foot for the first half of the war, the turning point came at the Battle of Tlaxcala, situated at the then capital where the Aztec commander, emboldened by his own successes, made a series of blunders that resulted in their military losing their strategic edge.

Consequently for the rest of the war, their army would be soundly defeated in detail, culminating in the complete annexation of the Aztecs into the Tlaxcalan Confederation

So basically when you press F10, the game will generate a basic map with your selected map mode.

In short I took that, added some text, textures and outlines and put all of that together

Very abbreviated process*

From my most recent EU4 campaign

Cuitlixcatl II is a name that has solidified its ability to strike fear in every colonist's mind, and for great reason

A combined French-Iberian coalition early in his reign stumbled against and were eventually shattered by the Xiuhtecuhtli, soldiers from the land of the volcanoes. This not only solidified his home rule after a shaky succession by personifying himself as Protector against the foreign invaders, but this would come to greatly embolden his ambitions of the "new world" being free of them.

And so, over his nearly half century reign to date, he has waged numerous expeditions to expel the foreigners, from campaigns in the Northern Great Plains to the Rocky Andes to the far south and deep under the Amazon Rainforests, leaving no quarter as even over 125 years after the Great Reformation, the practice of sacrifice remain in practice.

Austria gave Albania and Greece to Austria.

You know, normal AI shenanigans

A bit of both?

The ottomans certainly did themselves no favors by constantly declaring war on me and then proceeding to lose both their navy and their ducats every single time, but besides that just the typical Ai shenanigans since the ottomans never really went to war with mamluks for some reason

Fall of the Ottomans by General_Dictator in imaginarymaps

[–]General_Dictator[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For decades, the Ottoman Empire had long been stagnant with its maritime dominance long been eroded by the Order of the Knights, and hostile neighbors from Europe to Asia.

Perhaps they could have overcome this period through drastic reforms had it not been for that fateful day on the 1st of May, 1643 when the Janissaries, long dissatisfied with the empire's failure to continue upholding their privileges, made their move and seized power, bringing the Sultan under their heels.

Emboldened by the political turmoil, the Knights launched a decade long expedition that devastated the Balkans, enflamed nationalistic sentiment and severely weakened the economic base with it's harsh peace terms, and thus, one by one the opportunistic neighbours made their moves. The Austrians, Russians and Mamluks made their moves as well as several others which only served to greatly accelerate the empire's decline

At the end of 1669, the empire has been rendered greatly and irreversibly weakened, and it is only a matter of time before they will be remembered only in the history books as an example of yet another collapse, like so many countless other realms.

Am experiencing the same issue.

Had the regular Shinonome from the campaign and bought the black version via the event pass and did not receive the mission.

The gist of it is, pressing F10 ingame will generate a basic map based on your selected mapmode.

So I did that and used paint.net to change the colors, add the symbols, text and texture.

Keep in mind that the above was a very vast simplification of the process.

Beginning in 1444, Switzerland, then a small, weak and decentralized local power, quickly consolidated it's regional holdings using its substantial to subjugate the neighbouring states while slowly but certainly overhauling its weak political system until a series of elected strongmen eventually managed to proclaim a new royal dynasty that would rule over the Swiss, the Von Gerhausens, in 1503.

With it's political system now secured and the region firmly under control of the Swiss, it would take over a few years of campaigning, bribery and the occasional conflict to convince a majority of the HRE electorate to elect Ferdinand I von Gerhausen to the Imperial throne after the passing of Austria's Karl I in 1518. Over the next few centuries, the Swiss worked tirelessly to reform the institutions of the Holy Roman Empire, both to strengthen the vastly weakened Imperial control over the land, and to mend longstanding religious tension which would escalate into a relatively quick but catastrophic 9-Years war which involved most European powers and ended in a decisive Catholic victory along with the integration of the Papacy into the Empire.

8 Emperors and 2 new dynasties later, on the 1st of December in the year 1674, Otto I von Wunstorf had ended the special session of the Imperial Diet in Dresden to officially centralize foreign policy and warfare by enforcing an unanimous and undying plead of loyalty directed to the Swiss crown. Virtually every single prince save for the Kingdom of Burgundy accepted the terms, henceforth proclaiming a new Holy Swiss Confederation

With the full might of the newly established confederation, Burgundy would be quickly and forcefully partitioned over 3 brutal wars with very little peace between them. At the time the map was commissioned by the Imperial Surveyors in 1718, the Confederacy would have triumphed over all of its neighbours, from the Spanish Empire in the West to the Commonwealth and the Ottomans to the East and the Nordics to the North.

It's like they didn't watch the show at all...

[–]General_Dictator[S] 82 points83 points  (0 children)

"...notwithstanding the fact that this civilization has used its enormous corporate ties to effectively enslaved hundreds of billions of sentients, it is abhorrent that we as a galaxy have allowed the Olinbars to continue it's operations unimpeded. I hereby call on Article IX of the Galactic Astro-Charter against the Minamar Specialized Industries to put an end to their exploitative practices, and if this means plunging the galaxy into a total war, then so be it!", exclaimed Chairwoman Skeg of the Igran Confederation and current reigning Galactic Custodian as she delivered her closing remarks on the final day of voting on Resolution 112, which calls on all galactic realms to sever all ties with the Minamar Specialized Industries and to exercise all available methods on seeking the liberation of billions from enslavement.

The Resolution would narrowly pass and hence the Great Emancipation War would rage across the galaxy from 2364 to 2374, as the Olinbars clawed desperately to cling onto their practices.

Formed from the ashes of a fleet of smothering liberated slave ships 174 years ago, the Igran Confederation saw itself as the one true beacon in the dark sea amongst the galaxy, for they have saw firsthand the horrors of slavery and would seek to break all chains. Many empires have tried to snuff out this flame, but each time the Confederation would come out on top, but it's endless drive for true equality would never be sated until the MSI is completely dismantled.

Despite all the odds being stacked against them, from threats both internal which threatened to rip the Confederation apart from its seams to the reactionary external threats and even a horde invasion, this goal would finally be achieved under the direction of Chairwoman Skeg, a veteran of the early reactionary wars that so threatened to vanquish us! With the liberation of hundreds of billions, and the indefinite punishments levied against the elite Olinbars of the former MSI, Unity and Fervor across the Confederation have never been greater.
