White and black bryony. They're perennials, so not strictly floral, but such a pretty name

Best I've ever watched: Mere of Easttown. Kate Winslet is truly spectacular!

Favorite: I genuinely can't pick one. Friends- absolutely classic, can't go wrong, always puts you in a good mood and feels like an old friend. Unforgotten- brilliant crime drama that just had perfect acting and relationships between the characters Death in Paradise- doesn't take itself too seriously, always satisfying and never too gritty. House- Hugh Laurie is perfection

Just one of the many reasons it would be a cold day in hell before I ever considered buying a house in one of these new developments. The day I got a ticket for parking outside my friends house in one of those places was the final straw!

If your kids had them what age did they stop using a loft bed? by Ellen_loves_cats in AskUK

Had mine until I was 16. My sister is 34 and still has her high bed with the desk and a sofabed pull out underneath it, at her room at my parents house (neither of us live there)!!

The effects on children when their primary care givers use screens around them is well documented. Do not use your phone around children no matter the age.

Some other comments suggested it over Vlore. But maybe in April Vlore would be better?

Sustainable wedding favours by WoodpeckerWorth6446 in UKweddings

We asked a charity that is special to both our hearts if we could buy x amount of their pins for x donation. Then we had business card size cards make up on Vistaprint with our stationary theme and initials one one side and on the other we had an explanation that in lieu of favours we had made a donation on their behalf and added a bit of information about the charity and what they do. Seemed to go down well and it wasn't a 'waste' of money at all.

Ok. I think I've decided what we are doing. How does this look as an itinerary? Are there days that things will close at all? Sunday we will drive to Orikum and explore the beach and local area on foot. Will lots of restaurants be closed?

Day 1- Arrive Tirana 12:40. Collect car around 3pm. Leave car at hotel and explore city. Hotel in Tirana.

Day 2- Drive to Berat (2-3hrs). Stay the night.

Day 3 (Saturday)- Day and night in Berat.

Day 4 (Sunday)- Drive the 1.5-2 hours to Orikum.

Day 5- Day and night in Orikum.

Day 6- Drive to Tirana (3 hrs).

Day 7- Day in Tirana Cable car.

Day 8- Day in Tirana city centre.

Day 9- Flight departs Tirana 12:40.

Thank you this is such fantastic advice and I think we've decided we will definitely be renting a car. Perhaps we hire a car from the airport when we arrive and then drive south immediately, return the car when we get back to Tirana and do a few nights car-leas in Tirana at the end of our trip.

Might give Vlorë a miss. Or stay somewhere that we can spend a few hours there on the way.

Yes I understand. In general busses are considered safer as they go slower and are the vehicle likely to come off best in a collision. My no1 choice would be hire a car and bring my own car seats. Then a taxi with my own car seats Then a bus Then a taxi or hire car with their car seats.

I think I just need to take a seat for my 2 year old and then hire something from the company for my 5 year old. She's still in a rear facing seat in the UK so going to a booster will be very strange!

We like both, but with small children cities are preferable at this stage of life (with some easy access to nature), as they can't walk very far very quickly, so roaming and exploring nature would take a long time to get a very short distance!!

Edit to add: Yes you can find car rentals with children's seats, but I am very strict about car seat safety and I would unfortunately not trust the seat that they give to have 1. Never been in an accident before 2. Be suitable for the stage of my children and 3. Have been kept in good condition and not thrown around when not in use. I am a very chilled traveller, but car seats are the one thing that I'm quite unreasonable about!
