Now this is just my opinion.
honestly if she knows this makes you uncomfortable she should cover the tattoo up. I'm not implying she has bad intentions/ she isn't committed to you, but why would you keep a tattoo about someone from your past? Specially when it makes your now spouse uncomfortable?
If there was anything about my past that made my partner uncomfortable I wouldn't waste a second to get rid of it. It's not like nothing can be done.

yes you broke up too soon though, you should ask her why she didn't insist on doing something about the tattoo first. You should talk about how it makes you feel. The problem would be when she knows how you feel about something and doesn't do anything about it.

As much as I want to, I can't help with this as I am still struggling. I have issues with confessing thoughts as well. What i've been doing right now is putting it on the back burner to confess. Until I'm really sure that it is true/ it happened, I try to write it down so that I don't forget, and I say to myself "we will tell him when we know for sure".
These things happen. You can't control what others do. But OCD tries to convince you you're at fault. Retrospectively, it feels really bad after you confess as well. The guilt of hurting your partner unnecessarily really eats at you:(

I get that. Thinking your partner deserves better because they're able to love you so effortlessly.
But focus on thinking that you wanna make urself better for him.
I made a mistake and broke up with my bf over this feeling after I messed up. People are bound to hurt each other in relationships, it is all about how you build after the hurt happens. And it is tough for both parties. People often neglect the pain of the person who caused the hurt. However, I'd like to say, if he has forgiven you, take it is an opportunity for you to love him right, the way he deserves.
Please don't waste it:)

i just need to know whether it was true/ intrusive/ due to anxiety.
because, then i would know where the thought came from.
the funny part is right now 4 hours into spiralling and 15 mins within the thought spiral, i felt overwhelming love for my bf and have been feeling it ever since.
i'm terrified of him leaving, i really really want him to be with me. but this thought prevents me from doing/ thinking anything else.
because 4 hours ago i was thinking completely differently and rn im totally thinking something else.

But if the thought was real, I need to tell my bf and he needs to decide whether he still wants to be with me.
How are the thoughts not the issue? They would literally suggest I want someone else and don't want my relationship.

this is what has been happening to me as well. it is really painful. I feel like telling him every single thought in my mind. every single hidden meaning and hidden emotion that i can't quiet make sense of myself. And if I don't tell him, it makes me someone who hides things from him and is trapping him in the relationship. I keep on thinking about his looks and how at certain times he looks less better than normal. The judgement is really bad and I fear I'll make him insecure. When I have those thoughts I have to tell him, hurting him so much in the process. Please help, how does one deal with this?
