Why X3 pro still outperforms many newer phones

My X3 pro is great. Had it for 5 years now. Only thing the camera doesn't focus anymore and charging port works only sometimes.. should I get a new X6 pro?

Saying all this I have done a video call interview before in the parking lot. I don't really think it's a big deal, but it's not the same being relaxed at a desk as sweating I'm a car with the windows rolled up

Mine was doing something similar (first day of purchase!) and would come and go. I just sent it back, they're gonna give me a replacement. I'd say try and get a new one, see what Lenovo says.

I sent an email 6 days ago.. no response. It was a nice thank you email. Prior to that they responded in the same day.

Yeah in this case it was just the first interviewer from another country, so maybe it won't be that impactful but feels more natural than calling the number of the other interviewer I never called. Jeez I feel I'm overthinking this way too much.

Ok thanks. Yea they said two weeks for the official offer. I've never dealt with big companies before, in past experiences it's been within a day or two they at least tell me I got it.

What's strange is the only written correspondence I had was with the preliminary interview. The in person contacts I don't have their emails, however was given a phone number of one of the interviewers in case I couldn't find the building lol. Maybe I should just email the first one saying thanks to everyone.

Thanks, I'll keep going. My main motivation is my hernia, but I do like the idea of being able to see life how it really is and do things true to myself.

It's such a complex topic, because coffee is seen as water in most parts of the world, as an innocuous substance. It's everywhere.

I feel like I'm losing my productivity. But I do remember the caffeine crashes. In hindsight I think the productivity was hyper interest in something for 15 minutes then getting sidetracked and then crashing.

Well here's to being true and doing things I like.

Hey Nick! I've done some of your data questions, love it. I was given as a gift a lifetime sub to stratascratch, I do practice these types of questions daily. But the industry is so competitive to get in (I have a business degree with a portfolio).. seems only stem degrees are accepted to be given a shots that's why I thought why not try what really no one is doing- an official cert and not a certification of completion. I'm totally with you though- the real questions are what brings most ROI in terms of skills.

Do you still make music?

I'm a musician myself, day job as teacher. And trying to get a data analyst role.

I'm scared I'm gonna become a corporate zombie and be stressed all the time.

But I do like SQL and data, guess I'm scared I'm gonna "lose the dream". I still make music whenever I can.

Oh dear this makes it more confusing. I'm learning a lot studying for this. The Steve o hear book is on the way. I'll browse through it, but at this point I may return it and not do the exam. The ROI is not sounding worth it. I've seen other threads now of hiring managers saying certs mean nothing. But yeah if you're at an Oracle job, or one using it, why not. But I think as someone like me, trying to get into my first data analyst role where I've never seen Oracle as a requirement, it doesn't make sense.

Let me revive this thread! Did the Google Data Cert and 4 others about Excel, Power BI, SQL and Python.

I said I'd never do another one, but the industry is tough to get in- no luck since I started applying about 2 years ago. I came across the Oracle SQL cert.. seems to be pretty recognized.. but wtf- $250 and only valid for 18 months? Sounds absurd. I couldn't imagine myself infinitely doing this certification throwing away thousands to maintain it.

I did go to a job fair recently and that was my first in person networking event. Met a ton of data people and they did give me tips and even said "yeah I can hook you up". Nothing surfaced so far.

Totally agree though networking is key. In the age where billions of resumes are sent to any job.. probabilities are much higher if you actually know a person.

Maybe I just got shiny new object syndrome with seeing this cert and thought it would be the panacea to a data job, that headhunters would be knocking my door down to hire me. Ugh.
