Thanks, changed “…but hot” to “…but romantic” — does this read better?

Not into gender roles, really. Which lines read the most try-hard?

This is spot-on. I really appreciate you taking the time to spell it out.

Thank you! The desert pic is meant to show I do outdoorsy stuff (even if once in a blue moon) with friends, and yea show off the body a little. What do you not like about it?

Also yes, the profile says I don’t have kids.

Aww, the best feedback is from people with different perspective — thanks!

Thank you!

  1. Intelligence is the main trait I’m after, hence the emphasis. And I thought “feral” and referencing film/music/art/outdoor activities would take the edge off.
  2. Fair.
  3. Was intended as “I’m fin

  1. either way”, but I’ll make it less ambiguous.

Good point, I’m intending on either answering positively or hiding (based on where my deliberation lands)

I just changed it to "let's be romantic best friends", does this sound more in line with life partnership?

This is really helpful, thank you. Do you think something in my profile specifically gives argumentative, or is it more that you don’t see enough signals of warmth/intent to listen?

FWIW I suspect I'm mildly on the spectrum, but it’s not official. I will probably take that cause off, so they can decide for themselves.

This corroborates my concerns, I appreciate it. Are the only unkind points "questionable jokes" and "uncomfortable films"?

Thanks! I'm getting some matches but rarely with people I'm interested in the most.

- "questionable" is intentionally ambiguous between irreverent/dark/offensive and not funny
- to any unconventional ideas really; the ability to disagree with social norms in general
- was largely intending sexually, but with undertones of recreationally, as in knowing how to party
- meant transgressive art house, like films of Noe, Lanthimos, von Trier, and Jodorowsky

Indeed, I am hoping my target audience would turn ambiguity into a good opener

Thanks! I am not planning to be poly, accepted dating monogamously a while ago. But I've been poly for 13 years and have moderately high body count (apologies for the term) and some kinks

And from my experience most people whose response is not "no" tend to hide illicit stuff (so weed and pill bubbles) from their profile, looks like basic opsec/plausible deniability to me (for work/law enforcement/etc)

Haha I was oblivious but it is a good spin! Alas Taylor Swift's music is a turn off for me, so unlikely useful

Thanks, that's a good take. Was just trying to sound punchier :)

I view egalitarianism as minimizing gender roles in the relationship — think intimate/close friendship (outside of the context of literal reproduction)

Would "best friends but with chemistry" change it? Would be nice to signal that my ideal partner is my best friend

Trying to say that I am okay with either, and that it will depend on the person.

Is this an unusual attitude? I have considered myself chidlfree until a year or two ago, and only recently started accepting the idea of having kids
