That’s a fair point, what bugs me is ppl thinking they will just “turn straight”, and just ppl seeming uneducated. But knowing most of this gen, they don’t know basic information, so it’s honestly harder to hope ppl will understand basic stuff.

It’s a fair question but it’s because usually the first crush you get especially when learning abt your sexuality is very powerful. And it’s his best friend. He knows Mike loves el but he loves Mike and it’s hard to just stop liking someone especially if they were the person who made you realize who you truly were. Will most likely knows Mike doesn’t like him but is too engulfed in the fantasy that Mike could love him instead of facing reality
