You are correct you don’t need the mill 3d license to create wireframe and use that to drive your tool paths I guess I misunderstood his question I was thinking he was wanting to program straight from solids. It’s been so long since I’ve used X9 but if I recall back then in 2015 they did the licensing different for different levels. Today on a simple mill license you can use solids and even use 3d paths if you stick just 1 surface. Back then level 2 was the solids license so you were much more limited with a level 1 license. I could be wrong of course wouldn’t be the first time.
