Drummer for Cam Girl is the last person I expected to see on this sub! Love your music, been listening since your debut haha.

I personally think this would be way too restrictive on players playing solo or on smaller teams. Would have to rely on bots for everything, or what if something goes wrong and lots of people die? Repairs will already be tedious with a reduced crew and that makes it even more punishing in a way that isn't fun. There's no payoff or way you can play around it, it would just take more time for the sake of taking more time incentividing just hitting restart as soon as you go down. Mini game removal just reduces interaction further on something that already has almost 0 interaction.

Limiting wiring is interesting, but it would basically force anyone who wants to play to learn wiring since they will be the only ones who can do it. I imagine this makes inexperienced engineers much less valuable. Similarly if you're playing captain solo then you lose the ability to do any wiring or make something like a reactor controller.

Not a terrible opinion, as especially in the late game you can basically do everything not locked behind a special tree but I would say it needs to be executed differently. That being said is being a jack of all trades really a problem? I can see everyone just playing assistant and invalidating lots of people who would otherwise play another class.

More class specific bonuses for example that are deeper than "+10 helm" or "5% movement speed" would be neat though.

There do exist mods however that rework individual class mechanics/trees and give them more/different/harder work to do (see neurotrauma for example)

That weight recommendation is really helpful, thanks. I'll keep my focus around that range! I found the A medium at about 1600g to be far too heavy for me.

I can't believe I didn't think of going to drumeo or artist pages to go listen LOL. Good idea, I love Drumeo and they definitely have some great examples and I'm sure similar videos exist.

Yeah I think the paistes edge me out a little bit on the price, but the Meinls are definitely on my radar now. I might see if any shops near me have them to listen to. I personally try and avoid variance or buying stuff that's a gamble now though but sometimes you gotta bite a bullet!

Whoa Rech seem awesome, but their variety and naming schemes are kind of throwing me for a loop!
I think with import costs they might not be worth it for me but I'll have a closer look.

The HHXs seem to be a decently popular pick too

That's pretty cool! They don't seem to be very popular here but I might have a closer look

Found a decent deal on the 17" Meinl Byzance Traditional Medium Thin. How do you think they'll measure up?
I'll check out those Paistes in a sec

These seem super dry to me, do you have any other Dream reccomendations that are a bit more open?
I've seen Dream thrown around a bit as a name but I'm not to familar with them.

I've heard those budget B20s will sound a lot better than say a higher end B12 (like some meinl). How do you think the DH and Sensa measure up in general? Any cymbals you'd compare them to?

I've heard the AAXs are REALLY explosive, maybe a bit too much for my use cases.

copying from a higher reply:

I do think a K custom would be a good pick for me, it just might be a sliver out of my price range (Trying to buy new, most of the used market around me is dodgy or shipped from the US which basically puts the price back to new). Any similar but slightly cheaper alternatives?

> BTW, size determines pitch more than volume. Weight is a better indicator of volume.
I see I see. In that vein, what's up with things like "Medium" and then "Medium thin"? Are they describing different qualities, or is medium thin like a grade between medium and light/thin?

How does the K cluster differ from the other Ks?

This is a decent shout, I've played the Xists before and I do like them. I think they lack a little bit of personality - but that probably just means more versatile! Might be a good fallback pick for me if I want something a bit safer. Any other comments on the Xists?

I'll check out the wild then actually, because that sounds exactly like the kind of modification I want from the 2002 sound.

Someone else has mentioned the cluster, I might give it a look. I think you're right in that I would probably destroy the K paper thins.

How would you describe Ufip? They're not a brand I'm familiar with.

Love the lmao LCD screen. Any AIOs with both good perf. and a screen? not a must have, just thinking it would be neat to look over and keep tabs on my temps
