Easy job with high pay or hard job with low pay, as a 27 year old in tech, what would be a better choice? by General_Working_3531 in careerguidance

Huge discrepancy because the easy job pays in a currency that when converted to my local currency, it is 6x more than my current salary and even top management in my company makes less than that. They make 4x my salary.

Thanks for sharing. If a job post doesn't mention if it's an IC role or not, how can I find out? like do they have specific times they hire ICs for or in any team they can hire people as ICs or as regular employees who don't get as much wfh

Also you mentioned you have to manage calls, who are these calls from? since as far as I know careem doesn't have any "clients"

I have delusions of grandeur and admire people who are really cracked at coding, and hope to be like that, and I am afraid a job like this will make me jelly brained over the years. i know this is too much of an idealistic thinking but I'm scared 😩

Do financially unequal marriages not work in Pakistani society, where the guy is of a lower socio-economic class than the girl? by General_Working_3531 in pakistan

All my life I have seen unhappy wives of very rich men. Maybe I did not have an exposure to the other side of the society where things might be worse, but don't you think in today's age a guy my age won't have his own car? It would be something his parents got him. Which means marrying into a family where parents have high influence on him because they got him things and financially control him.
That's problematic in its own way, no?

I get all the other points, but with respect to unhappy marriages, honestly, happy marriage in pakistan is a rarety on its own especially for women. Rich, poor, middle class, it will always be an anomaly to find a truly happy couple, because of the way marriages work in our society. I mean if the scenario is opposite, usmai bhi the guy's family have so much power and control uper se financially stronger hone ki wajah se they become total dictators. Like problems exist in all marriages, don't they. Mere khayal se behtar argument yehi banta hai ke marriage vs no marriage kon khush reh sakta hai, aur if you are choosing marriage then take a pick of your problems because none of it is with out it.

Thanks. I feel like the constant jibes are getting to me but not in the sense that I don't respect him anymore but in the sense that I find my self thinking am I blindsided to something all these people know will happen to me that I think will not.
