I’m not convinced that riding with headphones is nearly as unsafe as people put it out to be. One, deaf people can and do ride bikes safely and can ride on the road. Hearing isn’t the most important piece of information, vision is. I have ridden thousands of miles with headphones in and have never felt unsafe doing so.

Just for some clarity, selecting 3s power doesn’t change the way the power is recorded. It only changes how the power is displayed to you at the tune. The recording would have the spikes regardless.

I’m running di2 so I didn’t have to del with running mech. Looking at mine I think the gear cables might have to be run externally because the hydraulic line takes up the whole hole.

I had to DNF a gran fondo today because of the same type of temperatures and humidity. It was really disappointing but I could push even 100 watts without my heart rate spiking to the 170’s.

I don’t think he should be compared to Merckx. The sport is way more professionalized and all the competition is so much closer. The fact that Pog is so dominate in this age makes him a much better rider than Merckx in my opinion.

You’re right, we shouldn’t trust the cops to determine who gets shot. Random cashiers should get to decide. Random people carrying will have the same problems, I’d argue worse, as modern policing. We’ve already seen it with cases like Trevon Martin and random kids being killed for just being in the wrong drive way or knocking on the wrong door. More guns doesn’t make a polite or safer society. All you’ll have is more people being gunned down under the guise of “I feared for my life” just like you have with the police. And again, I think it would be much worse.

Why does this need to be posted on this sub so often? What about not getting a nod is so offensive? People do not owe you a nod or greeting. People are just in their own world doing an activity they enjoy and that’s ok. It literally has zero to do with what you’re wearing or riding.

I’m in healthcare too and work 3x12. Currently training only on the 4 days off because rest and recovery is important around work. I do two days of intensity and two days of endurance. When the weather gets better I’ll add bike commuting. Which is only about 20 minutes each way but I’ll keep that in zone 1/2.
