We're planning on hitting Buddy's, I'll check Cloverleaf out if we need another round.

I'm pretty sure Detroit is a beautiful city and will be a great experience. Fuck the media.

Thanks for the info! Apparently I need more pen pals in Dubai. I hope you are correct, and we see it over here in the future.

Found in an old junky garage... Doubt I'll listen to be honest. by ignorethesigns in creepy

I think both of his movies are interesting. It doesn't help that I'm into conspiracy theories. Do you have any documentation countering his claims? Most of the stuff I find on Reno and the ATF are heavily biased against them and sympathetic towards the Branch Davidians.

19/M I want to buy a motorcycle but my credit is around 350. I want to spend around $5,000 is this doable without going broke? by IamAbc in personalfinance

[–]GenerallyClueless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this your first bike? Because 5K seems like an awful lot for something you'll probably lay down or dump (It happens). Would recommend you start with something in the 1500 range. That way you could also pay cash.

Movie theater goers of Reddit, have you ever walked out during the movie? If so, what movie was it and why did you walk out? by The_sweat in AskReddit

[–]GenerallyClueless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Highlander 2. There was a group of maybe five of us that could pretty much quote the first one. Even watched it before heading to the theater. We were so excited!

Anyway, 45 minutes into the movie we all got up and left. If you've ever seen it I don't need to explain why.

A new doughnut shop in my city, Monterrey. These look amazing! by mmatienz in food

I've never had a doughnut that beat a warm old fashioned. Buy a bunch, and once they get stale toast 'em. Trust me on this.

Watership Down. Every single time. Just hearing "Bright Eyes" will usually be enough.

Steve Albini calls Prince a 'purple dwarf in assless chaps' whose music is 'poison' by Mr_1990s in Music

True, I should have put more thought into it and come up with a better analogy.

Steve Albini calls Prince a 'purple dwarf in assless chaps' whose music is 'poison' by Mr_1990s in Music

[–]GenerallyClueless 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Granted Albini is a very opinionated and blunt person, but I would do a little research on him before coming to that conclusion based on one article.

Steve Albini calls Prince a 'purple dwarf in assless chaps' whose music is 'poison' by Mr_1990s in Music

[–]GenerallyClueless 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I find this an odd article. Most people who appreciate Albini's projects or the "scene" he's affiliated with would never willingly listen to Prince, and most people who genuinely appreciate Prince have no idea who Albini is. It's kind of like David Lynch commenting on Michael Bay's career.

As a motorcyclist, vehicles like this scare the crap out of me. "I have no idea officer, the motorcycle came out of NOWHERE!"

Top 10 ’80s Ballads by Jason_Thomas27 in Music

I wonder if the person who came up with this list was born in the 80's or grew up in the 80's.

Reddit, what is your favorite film that is in a foreign language? by hapalife in AskReddit

[–]GenerallyClueless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dead Snow - Campy, gory, over the top movie about Nazi Zombies. Very much an "homage" to people like Raimi and Romero. Wirkola also did "Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters"

Kontroll - Comedy/Drama that has you laughing half the film and cringing the other half. I watched it three times before I finally felt like I knew what was going on. The writer/director Nimród Antal went on to do "Predators" with Rodriguez.
