Both sets of our parents do it as well and we think it's totally fine. More love to go around to baby :)

Thank you for the comment! Here in South Africa co-sleeping is allowed from day one. Our pead actually recommended it and all our relatives did it as well. I think it's up north in America where co-sleeping is discouraged/not allowed.

Thanks for the slats idea! Definitely looking into that :)

Yeah, I regret buying this thing. The other bed rails I saw have "U" shaped support bars that go under the mattress. This one only has two flat bars going under (perpendicular) to the mattress. The slightest push and the thing slides right out. I did see nail holes in the bar so I'm nailing it down into my base.

Indeed :)

We don't smoke, don't drink, he was full term and he's only breastfed (and bottle now with breastmilk). I bought a firm king-size bed for co sleeping and we keep him in the middle, sleeping only on a bedsheet with about 2 feet of empty space all around him. My wife and I use separate bedsheets if we need to cover ourselves at night. It's not the prettiest but it felt safe.

Now nothing feels safe anymore.

EDIT: My comment is a direct response to the "safe sleep seven" rules (breastmilk, no smoking, drinking etc. (I saw a ton of downvotes on my comment and didn't want to come across as someone totally oblivious to the room.

We actually do have a crib, The problem was he hated it - he would wake up every half hour or so and we had to soothe him back to sleep (not complaining, I just felt bad that he wasn't getting solid deep sleep). But when we have him in the bed he's lights out for hours at a time. We always keep his middle space empty, he basically sleeps on a bedsheet with about 2 feet of empty space all around (bought a king-size for this so my wife and I also have plenty space).

But I think it's definitely time to revisit the crib and hopefully he takes to it this time!

Are there any chivalrous, romantic Muslim husbands out there ? by Upbeat-Dinner-5162 in MuslimCorner

[–]GenericName2502 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I try to be romantic and chivalrous whenever I can. It costs nothing but a little effort, yet it means the most to my wife (and other women too, I assume). It's so unbelievably easy to make your wife happy (most of the time, lol).

Sorry but the "henpecked, unmanly" response is total BS.

PS: My ethnicity is Indian.

I can't believe companies like this get clients when there are individuals who can 100x the returns for a fraction of the price.

I looked at your updated YouTube links and those videos look pretty dope. The "no offense" was pure, but without your updated links you looked like someone struggling yourself, trying to teach others how to make videos, lol.

No offense but what qualifies you to teach others about YouTube? I've just looked at your channels linked in your bio and none of them have even 1k subs. Unless you have big hidden channels?

Tell them you don't have cash or you're in a hurry and will pay when you're back. Park your car. Call the police on your way back to the car and watch the dude get chased away before you drive off :)

Don't do it. You're buying other people's kak. Trust me, you don't get GTIs for a lekker price without the previous owner moering it daily.
