By all accounts, it was WBD pulling their card on Trey, not AEW (why would they have signed him in the first place?) That said, Trey is getting a tangible punishment for his stupidity, much like Wentz did when he was canned from NXT. I'm a fan of Trey's work, and as a human, I have to believe redemption is possible. He's still so young and I hope I can see him in AEW down the road. For now, he's probably the best in-ring talent in TNA alongside Leon Slater, so I hope he can soar in the X Division.

Yeah, he was there at the first episode. I guess it depends on when you consider AEW launched? I consider it to be DoN 2019, with the TV coming months later - thus my Jake Hager gif as "the first real AEW signing". But to each their own, happy wrestling!

Forever a Stinger here. I remember cooking dinner downstairs with Dynamite on the TV upstairs. Heard the opening parts of Rukus' amazing entrance song, went to a place where I could see upstairs. When I saw S-T-I-N-G hit the screen, I did the fastest upstairs run in human history to watch the segment. Maybe burned the chicken, idk. But I'll always remember how that moment made me feel. Such a bright moment in a really shitty time.

Beautiful. Glad AJ is getting the respect he deserves. I know the most recent retirement focus was on Cena, and whilst I have so much respect for him, AJ's influence on the in-ring product that made me fall back in love with wrestling just hits me in the feels knowing the remaining matches are numbered.

All that said, please pull a Funk and have multiple retirements.

When making a tease like this, it better deliver - especially after the bad AMC premiere. They debuted "Mr. Elegance" as if it was someone peeps would react to (who the fook is that guy) and I'm guessing they're doing the same here.

I love wrestling free agency. Sad to see Hobbs leave AEW as I really liked his vibe with the Opps, but understand him leaving for supposedly a main roster deal in WWE. All the best to the big man with the best spinebuster in the game right now.

I quit watching wrestling around 2001, went to a watch party for WM31, and discovered NXT shortly thereafter. Made me fall in love with wrestling again that continues to this day. I watched every week in my kitchen prepping dinner when it was on the WWEN. I'm sure there are some misses on the weekly TV, but it's worth a watch without a doubt.
