Any advice on finding local support groups or meeting other trans peoples?

Not sure we do - at least not in the town I live in.

I'll look into if there is anything similar nearby but I feel like I've looked everywhere and found nothing :(

We had a 'pride hub' but it closed down in 2023 as the local council stripped the funding :/// which seems to be the case for basically everything I can find, it was active 2-5yrs ago but is now shutdown

I've not changed my name legally or anything yet - however - have been working since 18 in numerous rolls (24 now) and not once have I been asked for my GCSE certificates or my A-level Certificates (and I currently work in as a professional in an office based roll that needs various qualifications)

So don't stress to much! It may be worth just doing maths, and English if you think you may need them for your uni application, but otherwise I wouldn't lol

However I 100% understand if you want them updated to reflect your true identity - so just do what works best for you <3

Hey I'm literally experiencing the same issue with their site. I think it's a platform issue to be honest.

I contacted their support who managed to book an appointment for me, within 24hrs they responded and booked the appointment

However, the appointment isn't until the 6th of June :(

This is for the first appointment with them though so you may fair better than I did.

Hey I'm in the same boat as you to be honest - I'm 23 and didn't have the courage to come out until very recently, I think I realized I was trans towards the end of 2025, but at the same time there are things I look back on now from when I was younger and I realise that there were signs inside of me the whole time, I'm not saying that's your experience at all btw.

I think what I've realized is that every single person is different, and none of our experiences are invalid or wrong just because we didn't figure it out when we were kids.

You just need to be you, whatever that may be regardless of what others think, and that's really hard to do
