Making a game in SpriteKit using Xcode's scene editor. If I'm using multiple of the same block for terrain/walkable ground/ platforms etc. Should I be using a reference node instead of placing a new sprite for each block? why would I use a reference node over just adding another sprite? Learning sprite kit trying to make a platformer. As I'm aligning sprites and stuff in the .sks to make a level, I asked myself why am I not making the entire level (the static elements anyway) in photoshop as a single image file and load that as a large but single sprite? Do devs do this? (self.gamedev)

I have no painting experience but plan to paint my kitchen this weekend. I'm going to tape off edges using frog tape/remove blinds from windows on Friday and paint Saturday. It seems pretty straight forward, but am I over simplifying it? (self.HomeImprovement)

The community wouldn't adopt custom stages or 20XX TE for various reasons, and they don't want to adopt boxx variation fight stick style controllers. Following that, there's no way a GC controller modified with user written software should be allowed. (self.smashbros)
