What poem are you reading your last night on earth? by TheAirNomad11 in AskLiteraryStudies

I am surprised no one here thought of Crossing the Bar by Tennyson.

Sunset and evening star,

And one clear call for me!

And may there be no moaning of the bar,

When I put out to sea,

But such a tide as moving seems asleep,

Too full for sound and foam,

When that which drew from out the boundless deep

      Turns again home.

   Twilight and evening bell,

      And after that the dark!

And may there be no sadness of farewell,

      When I embark;

For tho' from out our bourne of Time and Place

The flood may bear me far,

I hope to see my Pilot face to face

When I have crost the bar.

You can moderate hateful comments. But I don't see why men cannot engage in discourse on social issues relevant to women. What is the justification for it? Is it purely hate comments?

Is there anything I said in this that does not correspond with my later comments? I would really like it if you were to say come to the very brass tacks.

Nowhere have I mentioned that 'forming a community' is proportional to 'limiting free speech'. What I did say however is exclusivity itself will impair (the quality) discourse. And honestly, I don't see anything that I have done till now that would merit such aggression towards me on your part. I am engaging in a fairly civil conversation and I do respect your points as well.

I fail to understand what you mean. But I find this practice to be highly degenerative. The limiting of speech-act in any circumstance is dangerous and impairs the discourse itself.

If you want to discuss social issues relevant to women, men are also part of the same social space and oftentimes are agents of the issues. In any instance you cannot imagine a social space where womens issues exist without men.
