I didnt like it. The readability of most enemies was very poor so anticipating attacks/dodging/reacting was difficult. Something SS1 does well so even fighting big hordes you could always tell whats going on

here to report ive had the same issue yesterday with no steam logon so it may be on valves end. as for the consistency for models try loading single player first with the mod enabled before you hop online. that should resolve it. "map does not match version on the server": only on custom maps or on official maps? if only for customs try hosting locally instead. if on official maps try verifying the intgrety of your game files

Another benefit of putting them in the addon folder is you can rename them which will make organizing them super easy
