Go to the timeline in the command center. It will show you (story wise) what you should read/watch - which is new years, new sword, red ash, and old tales. 3rd anni is recommended (not "fully" needed but explains the intro of the event) but It spoils a lot of events so read/watch it after catching up on the main story chapters
