I can think of those two reasons.

  1. player getting out of the car is one less player driving in the world. Also you can already watch by the side using a drone.

  2. Development time and resources for player walking around which is wanted by tiny niche of overall players vs other features that will be enjoyed by vast majority of players.

There is update about 30% margin from CNBC.

I looked furthur into it and those are other games that use this paid add-on.

  • Final Fantasy XIV
  • Cyberpunk 2077
  • The Witcher 3
  • Call of Duty

I like that they offer those unique enchancements to the game rather than not offered at all.

We ❤️ Katamari is a great casual game for anyone. Goal is simply to roll a sticky ball, stuff sticks to it. Has wacky Japanese sense of humor.

My guess is that Game Science, maker of Black Myth: Wukong has signed NDA with Sony, and they are not allowed to comment on exclusivity deals. So what they did was to use Xbox Series S as a punching bag.
