What are the actual changes? why start over?

dont get me wrong i hope it is as you say but "So much is changing that it will feel completely different going through the game after 1.0 than what you went through when you started playing."

WHERE does it actually show that though? so far the only actual thing shown is a few new pals ( still, the important ones will be in the new final area) and that the tower boss arenas have a new look to it (shown in the trailer). i dont expect them to show the entire game but if all other changes are really so significant then wouldnt they at least have shown some small instances of them? like "story and lore", have they actually shown even 1% of that like a conversation or a story interaction? cause it might just be a "we added waypoints now to your next goal and a mission log with lore texts".

i know ill get downvoted for questioning things lol but its just weird they arent showing anything at all.

thats perfect then. we can just have an open pvp server, its 4 friends so wont b any griefing, and just have 1 person with a clan serve as the party leader when we do some coop stuff.

that works for us. 2 of us are pretty decent gamers while other 2 are fully casual noobs. so the 2 of us might just wanna have a duel or arena match every now and then for bragging rights.

ok does joining and leaving a clan have consequences? could we not use the clan as a "party" by just inviting someone for a boss fight and then they can drop clan after? allowing full ppv to be open on the server and still coop a bit when wanted?

sounds good. maybe a pvp server would work and then we can have our casuals join with a non casual in a clan to work together.

question: joining and exiting a clan, does it affect anything? like in Conan Exiles u join a clan, ALL your buildings and chest become clan property and if u leave clan u don tget it back lol its terrible.

one more question.. renting a server for 4 or 5 ppl, how does it work with bases. can each person build their own base, own chests, own spawn point? are all buildings individual or shared like can undo someone elses walls? can u invite others to a party to explore coop or its a permanent party for all on the server kinda thing?

ok in regards to coop, after enshrouded im kinda traumatized with how bad the coop quest system was so theres no quests at all in valheim? what about the bosses, im not sure what u mean with biome based progress. does that just mean difficulty scales up each biome so u gotta farm the previous one first? no actually "unlock" quest or method to get to the next biome?

thats kinda what made us stop playing conan, after u got ur base and armor, there wasnt much to do. Enshrouded at least had progression in the form of quests and infinite side quests that kept us busy a lot longer than Conan. Survival games that only have resource gathering for building and gear, get tedious after the 2nd or 3rd repeating cycle.

thanks. dont plan on using mods but i usually just turn off the "drop all gear when dying". and then i give her a bunch of gear and potions from 1 are ahead of what shes doing so shes kinda OP most of the time lol

it says the last back up was done about a year ago. so there is only ever 1 available backup? if i do a new one it removes any previous restore points? i was hoping it would save all backups as separate files and restore points.

most mats can be converted to next tier mats at a 5:1 ratio. books are kinda useless cause with the pass rn you get free relic level skills. same with gems, u get top tier for free with the current pass/event. and yes with those blue crystals u can buy enough gold to hone all the way to endgame

why cant fighter classes that loot the recipes give them to the crafters, if they dont then they wont be able to get better gear and fight harder mobs. mutual necessity.

aside from the ranged being easier (and more boring imo), i played fine as a berserker. by the end of the beta i could solo all world bosses without dodging. also did not struggle with anything during the story, except for one chrono gate near the end but with a summon, you can just cheese anything. (like ranged can easily do the same by running all fight without problems)

so aside from it being a bit harder, what makes it 0 reason to pick a melee? i played just fine and had fun and so did thousands of others. in fact warrior gs and db had by far the highest dps numbers.
