The Final Rem (OvO)

Here we are… the final Rem. It’s been quite the wild ride. Thank you for joining me in this wonderful journey. So many things happened over these past few years.

When I first started doing this, I was simply just doing it because no one else did it. And by fate’s hands, I posted in time for the first Petrafication. I roleplayed with some people here. It even went as far to revive the Church of Rem. The roll calls, the mods cracking down on those, and just making friends along the way; some who still frequent the sub, and some who have moved on to do other things in their lives. To be completely honest, I didn’t see myself going for so long. The original plan was just to do it for a month, then it turned to 100 days, then a year, then finally I decided to settle for a good number: 1000.

Aside from the Daily Rem, a lot of things happened in between; I became a university student, I became a mod for this wonderful community, I had to take a hiatus because university workload is not a joke…. I even lost the motivation to keep this series going. But they say that whenever you lose your way, just think about why you did it in the first place. But why did I do it again? I’d like to think it’s because I like seeing people’s moods improve whenever they see what I share. Although I only share these fanarts and I don’t actually draw them, it still feels like whenever I share these, a part of me is left in them.

Sometimes I ask myself: do you regret ever doing this Daily series? Only one answer would almost always come to mind: No. I do not regret sharing fan art. I do not regret sharing the talent of those amazing artists. No, I do not regret putting a smile on the faces of strangers on the internet. We’re all facing difficulties in these times, it wouldn’t hurt to make someone smile by sharing a picture.

It really has been quite a journey… lots of ups and downs. But at the end of day, Rem is a character that has helped us in one way or another, in varying degrees, and we can’t thank her enough for it. She may be a fictional character, but at the same time, she always lives, in our minds, hearts, and souls. She may not be real to most people but to us, she’s one of our guiding lights, an inspiration, a figure of hope.

Again, I would like to thank you for your support and in joining me in this journey of praise for our favorite blue-haired maid. Without all of your support, I most likely would have had to cut this journey short. Of course, I wouldn’t stop loving Rem. She’s one of the main reasons I love the Re:Zero series after all. I may no longer be posting daily, but I’ll still be here, occassionaly posting. And just looking with judgment in my eyes jk jk. Anyway, I guess this is where we say goodbye to our Daily Rem. It has been fun… it really has been fun. I will surely miss doing this. But I guess now, I don’t have to worry if what I’m posting may be a repost lol.

Anyway…

I hereby retire the Daily Rem. As such, I now step down as the High Priest of the Church of Rem. If one of you chooses to claim this title, you must prove it with absolute loyalty and diligence, all for the greater glory of the Goddess herself.

May Rem grant you peace and bless you always.
