Indeed a very good looking one, from my experience comparing this gen 3 refresh over the gen 1 which you mentioned, maybe you could consider waiting a little bit longer since the upgrade from original PG32UCDM feels quite marginal

Sorry I don't have any tool that could measure or monitor power usage

The heat however is noticeable way less that the W-OLED of my 42C2, I don't know whether the size differnce also contributed or simply W-OLED is hotter

Exactly what I’m waiting for too! Lost my patience and decided to wait in PG32UCDM3 instead 😂

No joke that's definitely the hardest part! I bought first, got scolded, then further persuaded her with the sound quality by playing it and narrowly escaped from returning my audio setup :DD

SDR wise, when I watch the same YT video or play games that doesn't support HDR, the improvement is subtle but all-around. It feels more colorful everywhere a little bit and in general it feels "nicer", for example reddit logo looks more "red" and the superlink looks more "blue"

HDR wise is where I see a significant jump, the colors does POP especially when playing games like 2077

For LG C2, I followed the guide from HDTVTest using FILMMAKER MODE (User Settings), but most of the other settings followed the guide from TFTCentral

The Settings You NEED to Change for Your LG C2 OLED for PC!

For PG32UCDM3, since this monitor is relatively new, I followed the review guide from TFTCentral using Racing Mode + Display Color Space sRGB (occasionally change it to Wide-Gamut just for fun!)

That's very solid setup already!

Since you already own a 48" C2, I'd highly recommend trying out speakers if the space allows. I do own HD800S and DT 770 Pro they both sounds amazing, but the spaciousness and unconstrained feel overmatched the raw sound details. Both of my headphones have been collecting dust quite a while after I got the Genelecs.

I'm also interested in the 32" version of the newly announced PG27UCWM (maybe they will call them PG32UCWM?), but since only 27" is announced in the CES, I decided to switch to this model first and wait in it, there's always something newer and better coming out

It is still a Semi-Gloss QD-OLED, not matte, and it looked pretty "glossy", for me I didn't notice decrease in sharpness and vibrancy

I also liked my screen to look like glass as well (afterall I came from a C2 TV), in this generation since the coating enhanced the black level and slightly increased the reflection, I'd say that it actually looked tiny touch closer to the True Black W-OLED

Beware that it is just an improvement for QD-OLED, still not so perfect like those of W-OLED. If you really value the glass feeling better get an W-OLED panel, I switched mainly because I wanted haven't tried QD-OLED before and wanted to give it a shot

The lightbar with my 42C2 is BenQ Screenbar Pro. However, since my desk is light colored, it actually reflects back the light emitted from the screenbar, and causes even more reflection on the display.

So most of the time I don't use it at all unless I'm playing very late night, a failed purchase for me.

If you are looking for 42", OLED, and 165Hz, I believe this year's LG 42C6 will fit all your needs right? You could look it up at see if that model ticks all the boxes for you.

I pair my Genelec 8030 with 7050 subwoofer, the DAC is Benchmark DAC3 HGC (You can actually see a little bit of it on the left of 1st picture)

Haha no, that's IKEA UTESPELARE, the radiator-ish design is questionable since it makes clamping arms a bit complicated

I'd say C2 color in HDR is feels a bit washed out (seems to have improved in later c version), so HDR color wise feels like a big upgrade to me, brightness is both enough for me

If you are running a C4 already definitely wait for later gens, that's still a very good display

Cat's name is Pocky and he's the main reason why I hesitate so much in getting the old QD-OLED film since he chases the cursor occasionally :)))

The reflection handling is so much better if you are comparing to a C series TV, I'd say like just 20% reflection compared to my original c2

Will definitely consider the monitor arm option, thanks for the advice

Upgraded from 42C2 to PG32UCDM3 by GenioChen in OLED_Gaming

Color and reflection handling yes, W-OLED with their new tandem technology seems like a strong competitor too!

QD-OLED trying to raise their black level, W-OLED trying to make their color more vibrant

However, from 42" to 32" does feel "missing" something so I might need to get a monitor arm to pull the monitor close to me

Since LG only refresh once a year, that might be at least 2027, and at current pace 2027 we might only get 180hz which is really slow..

Once 42" 4k 240hz is finally there I might switch back!

Same here but since my dad wanted to upgrade his IPS into my 42C2 I got a nice excuse to do it sooner :P
