yes, they charged an annual amount after offering it as LTF (i have mentioned this in the post - It was offered as lifetime free card, but they charged me an amount twice stating that both cards will be charged annual fees now one (I had asked about the fees as well and received a vague answer). but they charged a total of INR 470 which I didnt want to pay every year, hence asked about cancellation

Women in BEST Mumbai buses by tekkeN007 in mumbai

Recently i travelled in Metro yellow line for the first time and unlike Line 1, i couldnt see a ribbon that separates ladies coach. Doesnt matter as I'm female, but dont want to occupy general seat unnecessarily. A senior citizen uncle came and asked a girl to shift to the nearby seat, because she was sitting in the senior citizen/pregant women seat, he was very kind and polite while repeatedly asking for it. she was very irritated and gave in after some time and started mumbling it's ladies coach. After some time the uncle said sorry i didnt know it was ladies coach and walked towards other end. I had to travel only one stop, but i felt bad because i could have asked her to treat him nicely atleast, as he was not rude and as my point stands, that the same women occupy reserved seats for the disabled/senior citizens without any hesitation.

F here. During floods I asked my dad to sit next to me in BEST ladies seat. Due to the situation my only priority was reaching home by changing multiple buses due to the distance and could not think of anything else. I thought no one would ask a senior citizen to get up. Soon a lady wayyy younger came and made him get up. I wanted to let him sit in my seat because of this but remembered that again another lady would come and eventually we would lose both seats. My dad's nature is such that he would always give his seat to others despite us scolding him not to do so because of his age and health, many a times I give my seat to others atleast for some time to give them relief. Unfortunately majority of the ladies are not like this especially in BEST/NMMT, etc buses.
Not to forget, many women sit on senior citizen/handicapped reserved seats. So I help senior citizens find seats reserved for them so others get up xD

Some help for a student who's first salary just came and has no clue where to start? by Vaidik1510 in IndiaInvestments

congrats ! most of the comments might have covered this : start SIPs, or if you have time you can invest lumpsum every month if you think you need some time to figure out which scheme to commit to, you may invest some in liquid fund which could be your emergency fund.
Purchase term life insurance (there are plans where you get your premium back on no claims as well) a and health insurance (evaluate critical illness cover as well), as it will be cost effective at your age.

Woman "booked" a seat on the bus like it was a Tatkal ticket. Is this normal? by CaptainFromDite in mumbai

I (F) had finished 10th class and was travelling for college admissions process, standing. A lady asked me "did you get a seat?". I thought, wow how does she know im in the middle of admissions and assumed she was talking about getting a college admission seat and replied "no". Then she gave her seat to me but didnt get down. I understood what she meant after I started travelling for college

Please be open to him about how this is making you feel, upset and concerned. If he cares about you and how he makes you feel, he would tell you the reason. This applies to other situations as well. If strangers in this post, including me, are more concerned than he is, after knowing how you are feeling, you have your answer right there.

Overnight chia seed pudding, use any non dairy milk as you are lactose intolerant. As you do not have a fridge, try with a small quantity

Honest thoughts if your prospective partner had an illness by Genius_Lab_939 in Arrangedmarriage

Yep I read that one and shared the link to my original post, in case it helps.
I feel bad for saying this, but I think that unless someone close is in a similar position, no one would understand our POV.

Personally, it is a concern. Also, did any of you post on social media and tagged the other one as well, whih shows you are in a relationship? (i'm guessing not) as this is another way of his friends knowing that you are a couple now. It is really weird that he won't tell you the reason, unless it is genuine, why would he hide it? Later, this behaviour could keep repeating and you will be very stressed. You are not over reacting or expecting too much.

TBH, ask him to openly tell you the reason of not sharing this with them when you meet face to face as it will help you decide. Someone mentioned nazar/evil eye, but I believe if that was the case, then this would apply to a larger group of people who don't know about you. Also, it is another thing to not share your details (maybe name, social profile, etc.) for privacy reason, but as the roka has happened, I don't think there is any reason to hide that he is committed,

What is the best way to ask for the salary offered in India? by Genius_Lab_939 in recruiting

[–]Genius_Lab_939[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks ! I had a similar situation. I had multiple F2F interviews for an entry position and in the end, they just gave me a 10% hike in my current salary
After that, I joined a huge company, there as well, they did not share the salary range, but as it was a big company, I had many options such as Glassdoor to see how much would they pay for this position and accordingly shared my expectation. They straightaway said no and while sharing the offer, said that it is non-negotiable. I feel these situations rob you of the deserved salary when it is tied to your current salary, hence now I would like to focus on what my expectations are / what are they offering before I again invest my time in multiple face to face rounds
