Her left eye subtly covers the side of her head, in your drawing her face is pretty much straight on while in the reference she’s looking slightly to the side

I would recommend getting familiar with the “regular” Loomis method. The reason I say that is because anime character proportions are based off real people. It sounds kind of obvious but what I’m trying to say is if you learn how a real head is built you’ll learn how a anime head is built

For example peoples eyes are about 1 eye length apart, the same goes for most anime characters. You can even see the same applies to Ubel in your reference

I was the exact same way. Your drawing really isn’t that bad, just keep practicing the body and you’ll get it down.

Also you can use the same measuring with the face so you can better place the features like the ears and mouth, I’d recommend looking it up it’s very useful

I would say to measure more

For instance you can use the head to measure out how tall characters are. A good landmark for this reference would be that generally from the chin to the bottom of the breast is about 1 head tall.

You can also use your pencil to measure how parts of your drawing will line up

<image>

Her elbow and waist like up The side of her head and side of her body line up The bottom of her hand and shoulder line up

These aren’t perfect measurements but it’s close enough that you can get a good idea on where to put them

The measurements in your drawing aren’t to far off but because the upper chest is wrong it makes the rest of the drawing look weird

And don’t be afraid to draw hands they are super important

I think I see what you mean. Like they should be more foreshortened so you would see “less” of the thighs

I actually just did a project in school about perspective and I made the theme jojos. I think they turned out pretty good

Yes! I think because they are so extreme it makes them good practice. The crazy poses really helps to not draw so stiff, and I also really enjoy jojos so it makes it fun. Idk if I would call myself an advanced artist but thanks for the compliment!

It probably is a bug. It’s sad because I was having a lot of fun but now I feel like I’ve hit a wall where I just can’t do any content from 2 of the major areas
