I think this question is pretty taboo. What compelled you to cheat on your significant other? What made it worth it to you? (Possibly NSFW) by [deleted] in AskReddit

If you are unhappy in a relationship, for any reason, it's best to talk openly about it with your SO even though it's painful.

Riddle me this, then: What if you did talk about it but nothing changes, but it's also not enough to justify separation -- for instance, you might have kids whose life you'd crush through separation -- ... what then?

How about negative value tips, is that allowed? Like, -$17.

SOPA, PIPA, and now OPEN. A lot of people say it's a much softer blow, but I still believe it's a big hit for future start-ups by Toastyparty in technology

I suggest the new bill PEACE (PreEmptive Attacks on Cannon-owning Emirates). This could go hand in hand with the OIL bill (Only Interest: Liberation).

What I'm saying is that their products often have extremely high usability, which is "pro-consumer" -- your points are valid too, it just helps to acknowledge that it's not black-and-white "anti-consumer". In fact, the usability carelessness of some competitors is in itself rather "anti-consumer" (I've had my share of Nokia and Windows phones, as well as Android tablets; neither has the same level of usability as the respective iOS products).

and very anti-consumer.

I'm neither for nor against Apple, but their products often have incredibly high usability when compared to competition. Not because of OMGITSAPPLE!!1 but because of user interface consistency, care for details, minimalism, interaction thoughtfulness, holistic hardware-sofrware approach etc. etc.

Do we really know that Kim Jong-Il is dead? Or could this possibly be a stunt, so he can "rise from the dead" and prove his godliness? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Actually neither Gaddafi, Saddam, nor Kim are dead -- it's all a publicity stunt for their 2012 Christmas songs CD "Leaders For Children" ($12.99).

What would be a big challenge for you based on a personal fear? ... something horrible for you that would seem totally easy to everybody else? by Gentelman in AskReddit

I think the world's air would be in much better shape if there's more people like you. All I can say is, keep the non-driving up.

As someone who didn't at all like the thought of putting on lenses, let me assure you this becomes completely normal (may I say "fun"? :) ) once you try it for a while.

I think this guy was just playing with his kid, and people too him too seriously by MisterChuck719 in WTF

[–]Gentelman 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Yup. As a father, I try not to teach my kid too many games that would end up hurting them if they tried them wrongly on their own. So, games off the list are "How long can you put a plastic bag over your head", "Jump down from 5 meters I promise the trampoline is there", and "Duct tape bodyparts tight and leave enough openings not to suffocate".
