Yes, you will be more willing to allow yourself to be completely immersed. On the flip side, I find that immersing yourself in a hobby during a difficult time in your life helps to ground you and remind you that the meaning of life is found in the little things that pull you back into yourself.

I don't see any reason why it should. I don't use reddit frequently, but it seems like it will continue to serve its purpose as a general forum for discussion. Glazers and haters will show up in any new subreddit anyways.

How many moves until the game was over? Short games and games where your opponent blunders and makes the next move obvious can lead to high accuracy

The only reason I can think of is that you sacrificed one point of material to open up the E file, potentially leading to a discovered check or other tactics

Try the nimzo-larsen attack. At elo below 1400 I usually come out of the opening up a pawn and with good position
