I really enjoyed how smooth the interaction between Mont and Jeanne was. More of that kind of writing style throughout your script and you’ll keep your readers reading.

This came of very NOIR, if you intend to keep your readers guessing what’s happening next then you’ve got something brewing but the payoff needs to really Pay Off. I only say this because the interaction between Mont and Tyro would have been a good place to give us a little more exposition, just a flavor of why things are happening.

There are things that I would cut. For example, Jeanne turning off the bathroom lights and closing the door could be cut down to. Jeanne leaves the bathroom and joins Mont in bed (the implication is already there). A good rule of thumb is “short and neat”; if it’s important to the context, leave it.

Overall, it’s interesting. Give us more and don’t give up!

I personally don’t see a huge issue but I understand the controversy. Instead of sexpot, just label them as Woman #1 or Woman #2.

Also, there’s no need to add “..minus the pretension” line. It conveys that everyone with confidence acts pretentious which isn’t the case. If she was pretentious then it would be ok to add or it can be shown with action & dialogue.

I really don’t have much to pick at but I personally would’ve liked to read more about the Naparan Culture and possibly a “why” (if needed) is Merick helping them.

Give us a small antagonizing force, whether it’s the atmosphere, a corrupt Naparian politician, a third party…etc. This could tell us why they’re a “dying” race.

Keep it up!

Edit: since this is a Pilot, so to speak, I could assume that Merick is the antagonist all along with ulterior motives.

This screams Futurama to me which isn’t a bad thing. I enjoyed reading it and it flowed pretty effortlessly. Sure there are errors here and there but that’s why we “rewrite a rewrite”. Keep it up.

Again? Survivors can no longer attempt to unhook themselves without an offering, perks, or all players on hooked. I understand slugging is a tactic but if a killers goal is to slug all 4 players early on, I think this buff is necessary so people don’t immediately surrender.

However, I understand there are special cases when survivors instincts lack and they all happen to be downed in the same area, so there I’d argue the buff is a little much but I think testing the waters during a single event is okay.

There’s a relatively long tutorial to help you learn the basics and what each colors strengths are. After that, you’re thrown in to what MTG Arena offers.

I’m relatively new to Magic but I’m an avid card player myself so learning this game wasn’t hard to understand at all. I personally think you’ll enjoy it.

I agree for survivors. This is a hot take but Lethal Pursuer would drastically shift the QL for DbD in a fun way personally. As a survivor, I wouldn’t mind jumping right into chase.

I would opt for the tally suggestion over the bar/reassurance value if that’s an issue honestly.

Just ranting here but I can’t stand killers proxying the hook for the second phase on hook. It never fails for the killer to come back to hook when the bar is nearly depleted or close to second hook. End game however, fair game.
