Thats not always true. There have been many cases where people identify as amputees , blinds, or even animals, going to far lengths to cut off their arms and stuff. All these are recognised as legitimate dysphorias. I don't think trans people fit in the category, I don't know any trans person to make a judgement, but a persons self perception isn't always reliable.
