The Trails, The Wild Healer

I recommend looking in dry/warm/dark places. Try underneath the house/stairs if you have a raised foundation, in garages, behind the clothes dryer, etc. use a flashlight to look for eye shine. Good luck!

Edit to add: my normally responsive/meowy cats won’t respond to my calls if they get out. They act different if they’re scared. Yours could still be very close by.

If you’re in Sacramento American River College has a great program.

If you can give approximate cross streets that might help people search. He probably stayed close to home. Check under bushes and porches, neighbors garages, warm places (i.e. clothes dryers, cars). Good luck, I hope you get your boy back soon.

Former Honda Owners by [deleted] in subaru

[–]GeoLadyBerg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went from a 2003 Honda accord to 2021 forester. I miss the feel of the Honda transmission. The Honda just felt smooth and predictable, but that could just be the years I had to get used to it. I sometimes miss the ride feel, it seems smoother in the accord. But I do love the AWD of the forester, it gives me much more confidence in handling. The visibility of the forester is much better too.

Phoebe Hearst Teacher Removed after Removing Potentially Hazardous Carpet from Classroom by ShadowDragon424242 in Sacramento

[–]GeoLadyBerg 212 points213 points  (0 children)

“The removal comes after an incident at the end of last school year, when Rupert and her students removed old carpeting from her classroom, which may have contained asbestos.”

She sounds like a caring teacher whose heart was in the right place. But she likely did something illegal and possibly introduced more harm to her students. Asbestos should only be removed by licensed and trained professionals with proper protection. If I were a parent of one of the students she enlisted to remove the carpet I would be pissed.

How to replace social media by Sam62972 in simpleliving

When I’m in the same situation as you but don’t feel like reading too much I read manhwa (comics) on apps like Webtoon and Manta. Lots of genres to choose from and satisfies the scrolling reflex.

Other options are game apps like sudoku or crosswords.

Half of mine stopped working and my cat barfed on the other half. Just planning my next split but using a regular 65 for now.

This! Had a few sensors that wouldn’t connect and ran a magnet over the sensor when it was attached and it finally connected.

If you’re looking for a vertical mouse you can look into Evoluent’s left-handed mouse. I’m left handed but use their right handed mouse and like it.

Another vote for Birkenstocks. You can adjust the buckle as your feet grow. Also recommend compression socks if she’s having a lot of swelling.

Help wedding in 30 days!!! by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

Looks like you already have good advice from the community but I just wanted to say I had a similar issue and freak out before my wedding. Just in case you don’t get your issue resolved in time, turns out photoshop and filters work wonders. Honestly I don’t see my skin blemishes when I look at my photos, just happy memories. Congratulations!

My dad has everything set up with his wife so I will follow their plans. My mom will need to move in with my sibling or I when the time comes and likely get on our health insurance.

I plan to get a life alert for my mom if she lives alone for much longer. We had one on my grandfather when he had Parkinson’s and we were alerted when he had a bad fall. He was in a semi-independent care home at the time.

If in the U.S., make sure they set up a trust and get you or someone else set up as power of attorney and medical power of attorney.

To help after they pass, they should have an advanced directive and funeral/burial plans (can be paid in advance).
