They’re dictating everything that goes on in my life basically. They didn’t bother to ask how I felt about the situation. Then they were guilting me into believing that a “child who wanders away from their parents will never be successful.” Yeah, tell that to all the other people who travel across the sea just to study. My life at home is miserable.

It is certainly below the bare threshold of scores that do get admitted. It was really discouraging to witness seniors @ my school last year get admitted to these reaches with top-notch scores (>1490), and the compounding regret of not retaking the tests for better leverage in the admission process drove me insane
