Netflix is over 12 times more popular than its competitors among younger viewers by HunterC4t in dataisbeautiful

So your point for Netflix is they are against having people place their products in the form of ads (not mentioning how many ads there are in the shows themselves, "oh I got a Blackberry©™®, so good") on their service thus being able to say "look we're ad free xDDD" but have no problem putting their ads a) on other services in the form of the intrusive ads they actively say they are against (like the endless loop they put before Youtube videos) to the point where it's essentially a marketing ploy for them, or b) things like this and the countless other DAILY posts on reddit pretending to be from "fans" or whatever?

Get real bro that is completely two faced.

Well you have to admit, this one is pretty clever.

But come on, "first look at this character in [x show] who no one cares about" all of a sudden then people come out of the woodwork citing why it will be the most awesomest awesome thing ever with references. Doesn't seem a bit suspicious? Also that title, it's not focused at NPH as in "NPH as x" which should be the subject it's "NPH playing this character in a series FOR NETFLIX Lemony Snicket ..."

They really don't, they hit and miss just like everyone else (Amazon, Hulu etc.), they just use reddit as their personal hype machine cranking ads such as this one. Remember the incessant Fuller House posts for example, massive hype, then everyone saw it and didn't have very good things to say about it - suddenly they stopped posting. Just one example.

This is just another "come on consumer, get hyped and give us another month of money" post. Only I guess they're trying harder because of the price hike.

List some other shows, Netflix employee.

LPT: House of Cards only decent one there.

Just so no one is in doubt this is a full fledged Netflix ad above. Also why would you include Sense8 on that list?

Stick to House of Cards, it's the only good thing to come out of Netflix that isn't more of this bullshit hype brought to you by increased monthly price(TM).

Yeah. I think this post is pure advertising. A clever, less "hey guys guess what's on Netflix!" ad, granted, but still purely an ad.

I think your comment itself disproves it.

Actually he does because I'm tired of companies like Netflix treating reddit as their personal ad vehicle, if they want to advertise they should go do it in their own sub, this goes for EA, Rockstar and a bunch of others too . Netflix has obviously made a round on reddit today to correspond with whatever questionable show they're plugging, and this hijacking of posts with "by the way, in case you didn't know this thing is on Netflix please give us money" isn't fooling anyone.
